Here’s John Wall and Julius Hodge Going at it in a Summer League Game
Julius Hodge, who starred at NC State, outscored the Wizards’ John Wall 20-12, but it didn’t matter because Wall’s team won. Also, the move Wall puts on Hodge at the 1:05 mark is sick (Hodge makes a nice defensive play on Wall later in the video). Hodge, in case you’re wondering, was taken in the first round of the 2005 draft by the Nuggets, then got shot in Denver, and was out of the NBA in a few years. He’s played in the NBDL and internationally since 2007. [via Pack Insider]

Denver has a tough time getting free agents, thanks to all the athletes getting shot there.

Hodge as of late has been acting as a kind of “outside the box” recruiter for future NC State players. The kind that comes off as nothing more then a over zealous Alumi talking up the school that you hope doesn’t get the program in troubles later.

Man I am so glad that I can come to a site like this and not ever have to worry about being bombarded with baseball talk. A place where I can come and watch NBA summer league videos with guys you heard about 5-7 years ago. You know the stuff that really matters in the world of sports.

Wall should have just punched him in the balls.

At least if they’re on probation there is a legitimate reason for missing the tourney

Do you really want TBL talking baseball?

It’s good practice to angry up the blood at least once a day. Besides, did you happen to catch a load of the fan excitement and parity in this video? THROUGH THE ROOF!

That’s the thing, TBL really needs to find a baseball writer. NFL talk on here was pretty brutal until Lisk showed up.

hodge has never been the same since getting jacked in the plums by chris paul.

What is the new guy good at? Has he had a second post yet?

This thread feels like the smoking section.

Nice.

TST should be hired as a baseball writer but left in permanent moderation. That would be funny.

I remember his movie posts more than his football posts. I think his best contributions were his comments.

Ha. You can say it but it has to be in the right context.

Should poach Gary Armida from Full Count Pitch, or at least borrow…they are part of the BLS family, so should work. Armida does some real nice work.

Craig Calcaterra writes under the BLS banner sometimes, too. Maybe we could get hi… Sorry, even my fingers are laughing. I couldn’t finish typing it out
