I think it does. It is god damn brilliant. The chemistry between those two is pretty clear. I laugh just as much during that little 2 minute outtake at the end of the episodes.

Yes, but Mizzou’s J-School is tits I guess. Ask Lisk. He was more concerned with getting a big job than adhering to his Kansas roots. As one of my co-worker’s told me, “If you were paid twice as more to work at MU than KU, you’d switch jobs in a heartbeat.” Of course I would. Read that Greg Hall link. That is one of the truth’s in the article. KC does have an inferiority complex. Most of it is due to not being Chicago, St. Louis or Dallas. He got the answer correct, but didn’t get to that conclusion correctly.

My more succint answer would be that I was surprised this was even a topic that Grantland would cover. There are some truths in it, however poorly written, but I doubt anyone outside of this area even cared.

I kind of agree with you… but at the same time… wasn’t part of the article critiquing KC’s inferiority complex? Kind of sounds like KCer’s have it, given the reaction. I’ve never been there though, so I’m not really sure if I can comment on that.

Eh, much like Cleveland, Kansas City is used to getting bashed. My personal stance on the NBA angle is that KC will not support a NBA team. Why?

1. College hoops mecca in this area. You will not get KU/MU/KSU/WSU season ticket holders to buy season tickets. Maybe the superrich, but that is a small number.

2. This is a Chiefs town. Yeah, the Chiefs suck, but they still sell out.

3. The whole NBA/NHL was fabricated by politicians that wanted to put the Sprint Center and Power and Light District downtown. The Sprint Center tax probably would have passed (taxing car rentals on out of town visitors.) I doubt the P&L tax would have passed. BTW, Kansas City covers ~$2 million dollars each year because it underperforms.

That column was poorly written and the author got assinated yesterday on talk radio in KC.
