Julianne Hough in a bikini was disappointing. She could toss in a few salads.
Nice cankles on Minka today.

“How Violent Sex Helped Ease My PTSD” …
good thing this didn’t link to an article written by a guy. Even still, I made it about two paragraphs before deciding I don’t care about this lady.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:16 AM
The Timberwolves interviewed Quin Snyder
Contract the T-Wolves (and the Hornets)
June 29th, 2011 at 8:19 AM
I love polar bears!
Was this just to get attention for the movie? Why would you say this now, especially since she is married?
June 29th, 2011 at 8:20 AM
Back 2 Back.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:21 AM
I’m glad Emma Stone didn’t make the cast of Heroes. It would’ve tainted her somehow.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:21 AM
And she was smoking in Easy A. Plus that was a pretty cool little flick.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:22 AM
The answer is “I am a Douchebag and can’t get over her”.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:24 AM
I think the FDA really fucked this up by making “2000″ the recommended daily intake. People don’t monitor their calories, and when they do they never take into account all the little stuff that throws them over the edge. Now we’re trying to stuff everything back in Pandora’s Box with the widespread obesity issue. People can’t control themselves.
I’m topping out at 1800 calories a day now and I can’t imagine where I could fit more food.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:25 AM
Chris Bosh had his bachelor party in Vegas, but LeBron and Wade weren’t there.
The King only rolls with people on his payroll. He wouldn’t want to hang out with Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who might ask questions James isn’t comfortable with, like “what happened?”
And Dwayne Wade got run into by a little kid at the Miami airport. He rolled around on the ground for two hours, waiting for a whistle, and missed his flight.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:30 AM
Julianne Hough was in a bikini …
i would eat the corn out of her shit just for the opportunity to bed down with that.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:30 AM
You could fit more food in by eating lunch and dinner.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:31 AM
Were Bosh & Friends trying to re-enact scenes from Bridesmaids?
June 29th, 2011 at 8:33 AM
You.. you cant be serious. She’s like 100 lbs and in fantastic shape.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:35 AM
Man I’m beat from last night, but what a great game…and some drunk posting on my part…very nice.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:37 AM
I agree. She is a dancer, not just some skinny chick model.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:37 AM
This might be the most ridiculous thing ever posted on the interwebs.

The champ is here. Enjoy Jay V. Cocks just can’t lose when it matters.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:39 AM
Great pose by Minka. Must finally be hearing the backlash.

June 29th, 2011 at 8:42 AM
Chris Bosh’s bachelor party sounded like it was a helluva grea…. zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Go Cackalacky!
June 29th, 2011 at 8:46 AM
Chris Bosh’s bachelor party sounded like it was a helluva grea…. zzzzzzzzzzzz.
You’re too good to hang with Mr Cooper’s comedy show?
It really was a lot of structured activities, none of which were the nudie bar. Almost like somebody who wasn’t male planned the whole thing. Maybe Chris Bosh.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:46 AM
Congrats Jay V on the SCAR title and keeping the Gators from winning, but mostly keeping the Gators from winning.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:47 AM
You sir, have lost your damn mind
June 29th, 2011 at 8:49 AM
i liked this angle.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:50 AM
Lot of protection over Julian Hough. Must do further inspection. meh. I dont see the big deal. Unless you really like to waltz.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:51 AM
There goes Seacrest again. Trying to pretend he is straight.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:51 AM
I would definitely prefer to Salsa with Hough.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:52 AM
I would think for a professional dancer she would be more cut but perhaps I have seen Honey to many times.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
i think most guys have ‘dancer’ on their sex bucket list.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
belly dancer might be exactly specific. fit and magically-hipped
June 29th, 2011 at 8:54 AM
So….not a fan, huh?
I got drunk on a school night last night. Then I decided it would be a good idea to eat some Waffle House. It wasn’t.
June 29th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
as a high ranking officer of team boobs, I would have no problem wrecking that. she’s fine as can be.

June 29th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
congrats to the Cocks. anything to keep their minds off of what is sure to be another letdown football season this fall is probably good.

June 29th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
Is it worse for a child to see pornography or graphic violence?
didn;t read the link, but i’m choosing porn. if we are worried about them emulating what they see, i’d rather have my kids be curious about bodies and being overly affectionate than stabbing kittens or snapping limbs on a playdate
June 29th, 2011 at 9:00 AM
The Timberwolves interviewed Quin Snyder for its soon-to-be-vacant head coaching position.
I’ve never been to Minnesota, but is the interstate that goes through it a major coke trade route like I-70 is in Columbia?

never been to a waffle house. don’t plan on going either.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
Trick question. The absolute worst would be a snuff film and that goes both ways.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
i have no problem with a 1-st round pick being a 3rd down back. if he’s productive, and as long as yoou pay him like a 3rd down back, so what? lots o draft picks are bust, and this is THE LEAGUE, man. college studs become pro duds often enough
June 29th, 2011 at 9:02 AM

it does wonders in the area of hangover prevention. usually good for a story or two as well. or at least some waitress on line cook violence.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
I blame the rise of the elastic waist band for this.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
I have no problem with the rise of caloric intake in the country. I do have a problem with people’s ever growing hatred of going outside and doing stuff that involves using their 2 feet and the ground.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
i’m interested to see her explanation of calling for the end of Medicaid but her family accepting $137k annually from that program.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:08 AM
This is actually true. I’m not hungover today, just tired. I’m afraid that my butthole is going to fall out at some point today though. That combo of waffles, bacon, hashbrowns w/ chili, and bud light can be deadly.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:08 AM
Agreed.
That’s said, if we’re doing our jobs as parents, kids really shouldn’t be seeing either at a young age.

June 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
the amount of processed foods being consumed is unsettling. i try to avoid it, but you really can’t.
what sticks with me the most about Super Size Me was when they put the four different foods in jars. everything went moldy at different lengths of time, except the fries, which still looked mold free after six months
i never get fast food fries for the kids
June 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
I’m guessing that is the way the author of that Slate piece is playing.
I’m still not sure what the point of that article was. That it’s OK to let your kids look at porn?
How about we let them be kids first?
June 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
sure you can. it takes a little more effort, but not an incredible amt. i mean, if you consider hormones in meat or boxed pasta from barilla or whatever processed then i could see it…
June 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
Truth. I tried this for a few weeks last summer. It’s almost impossible. Not to mention, you’ll go broke buying natural food. Try taking a look at how much sodium is in the shit you eat daily. It’s unreal.
I have found a good way to eat better for lunch is to go grab a pound of lunch meat from the deli and eat sandwiches every day. Add some chips/crackers and it’s not a bad little lunch. I can’t do that gut bomb shit every day for lunch.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
i think more along the lines of don’t let em see either with a highlight on video games because they’re so ubiquitous amongst that age group.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:15 AM
That’s it.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:15 AM
never been to a waffle house. don’t plan on going either.

if it’s a girl, just let her live out a forcible rape at gunpoint fantasy, and she’ll be back to well-adjusted in no time.
/seriously, that link is weird
June 29th, 2011 at 9:15 AM
agreed. calorie intake isn’t really the problem IMO, it’s the shit put into the food we eat every day that gets me.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
Ever go into one of those organic markets, like a Whole Foods?
Crazy expensive.
I pick and choose on what I buy organic, but if I went full bore with that, there wouldn’t be money for anything else.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:17 AM
I blame the rise of the elastic waist band for this.
the infomerciaals about that black girdle don;t help. they show a 110-pound babe strapping on that thing.
i could look like her if i buy this, even tho i’m blond, toothless and porcine!
June 29th, 2011 at 9:17 AM
Chipotle for lunch, for me, was always a poor choice. Either spend the afternoon on the can or sleeping under the desk
June 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM
You don’t have to buy organic, which is basically just a marketing ploy. Just buy fresh food and learn how to cook a few meals.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
June 29th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
i stick to the big ones: milk, beef, chicken and eggs for organics. results in less beef consumption, more chicken and moderation in milk and egg intake. ideally i’d fill the additional with more veggies (organic doesn’t really matter for these), but that doesn’t happen as much as i’d like.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
That two-part story is long but a decend read. Bitches be crazy.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
But it tastes soooo good though…

Decent.

June 29th, 2011 at 9:21 AM
I’m interested in taking a cooking class or two to learn some new recepies and how to play with flavors and all that. I blame Top Chef for this.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:22 AM
By now many of you should know my sarcasm.

Uh oh… Djoko just dropped a set.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:22 AM
The Whole Foods by me does cooking classes, now with the wedding over we were talking about doing a few of these.

Love Chipotle but check out their calories information right here. I now get the bowls to save 290 calories.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:25 AM
That was probably quite the dinner conversation beforehand. Not sure I could pull that off.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:25 AM
I use turkey for almost all my meals now. Much better for you. Cheaper too.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:25 AM
see if you can watch Cook’s Country or Cook’s Illustrated half hour shows. I think they are on my local PBS, but should be available nationally (maybe).
sometimes the recipies themselves can be advanced, however, they do a good job of explaining why a certain ingredient is used, what it does to the recipe, and how they perfected the recipe in their test kitchens.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
you want me to elaborate on why being content with a 1st round pick becoming nothing more than a serviceable 3rd down back is a bad thing? or elaborate on how it’s literally impossible for a 1st round pick to be paid like a 3rd down back should be?
failed 1st round picks fuck up a team big time. that’s where you lay the foundation, not put up lawn ornaments.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
Should have added this as well. By far the best cooking show on TV, instructional or otherwise.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
Awesome combo. Going anywhere exotic or staying domestic? I just order the book robopacalypse that NDub linked a couple days ago.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
Love Chipotle but check out their calories information right here. I now get the bowls to save 290 calories.
Last few times I’ve gone there (and that’s been months back) I went with the bowls. More filling and less cal/carb heavy.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
phillymantis, any cool, nontraditional stuff you registered for (and got)?
June 29th, 2011 at 9:28 AM
There’s a book called In Defense of Food. Pretty good bylines on what to eat and how to avoid processed shit. It’s by the guy that wrote Omnivore’s Dilemma.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:28 AM
To build an elite team you need elite players. Players drafted in the first round historically have a MUCH HIGHER rate of becoming elite than any round after. The drop off is pretty crazy, actually, even into the 20′s.
Using a first round pick on a low-upside player is a terribly wasted opportunity, and a reason for a GM to be fired.
Third down backs can be found in the free agent pool for next to nothing, every year.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:29 AM
Got my copy of World War Z in the mail! Cant wait to read that while relaxing on the beach in 2 weeks.
Awesome book. They’re making the movie right now. You’ll dig it.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:29 AM
you are absolutely correct.
which brings me to another point…celebrity chefs are also responsbile for the rise in calorie intake…their recipies are terrible for people.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:29 AM
Eat Food. Not Too Much. Mostly Plants.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:30 AM
after playing with that for a minute I have found my new ordering strategy. huge tortilla with nothing but (double) meat and hot salsa in it. Thats only about 700 cals. Not too shabby.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:30 AM

June 29th, 2011 at 9:30 AM
I’ll fully aboard the team bowl at Chiptole, but my god, the salsas are loaded with sodium…how the hell?
June 29th, 2011 at 9:31 AM
I go bowl and ask for extra rice. I have found they put more beans, steak, and salsa in there to make things more proportional and it doesn’t cost any extra.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:31 AM

I don’t think it’s that crazy. Brazil didn’t really do themselves any favors in the past year and England has been playing in (and winning) some qualifiers for Euro. This will be different in a month if Brazil and Argentina don’t completely shit themselves.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:32 AM

It’s always the simple jokes that make me laugh the hardest.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
i’d like to hit paula deen in the face with a ham!
June 29th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
I prefer the bowls as well…the problem is the chips and guac. Their guacamole is really really good.
I always though they should at least test using wheat tortilla shells for their burritos and tacos.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
Maybe he had one of those half-sized muskets like on Pawn Stars?
June 29th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
This guy would be my number one pick in a celebrity death pool every year. How does his body take it?
Most of those challenges just look disgusting. I don’t think I could even attempt that with a food I loved.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:33 AM
Not really…we registered for the usual stuff, got a lot of it, but nothing unusual. Did clear a lot of cash though.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:34 AM
I can’t even wait until Yardwork to show my excitement. How about Phifer Lee!??! Dude is just killing it right now. First Phillie since Robin Roberts in 1950 with 3 shutouts in a row. Blanked the Boston Beanballers. We can officially put irishmafia’s LEGEND stamp of approval on Clifton.

That’s actually the motto Michael Pollan promotes with that book (In Defense of Food) that cleet mentioned.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:35 AM
Are they really? That’s awesome. I too just started reading the book a few weeks ago when I was on vacation. After all the talk on here about it I decide to pick it up. Love it so far

I was astounded by the shit we got that we didn’t register for. Shit we’d never use in a million years. Like a fucking tea kettle. Who the fuck uses a tea kettle?
June 29th, 2011 at 9:37 AM
I try to do this as well, but sometimes you lose some taste. my gf made a lasagna last night with turkey instead of beef, and while it was quite good, was a touch bland. good thing the green bean casserole was there to top it off.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:38 AM
Last few times I’ve gone there (and that’s been months back) I went with the bowls. More filling and less cal/carb heavy.
I go bowl and ask for extra rice. I have found they put more beans, steak, and salsa in there to make things more proportional and it doesn’t cost any extra.
I go with black beans, steak, pico de gallo, no rice. My one splurge: guac.
it didn;t used to be on the menu, and maybe isn;t still, but if you ask the preparer for a quesadilla they’ll make you one
The quesadilla is there now and I’ve gotten it before. BUT it’s that tortilla that’s a calorie beast. Anything with a tortilla is guaranteed over 800 cals.

you want me to elaborate on why being content with a 1st round pick becoming nothing more than a serviceable 3rd down back is a bad thing? or elaborate on how it’s literally impossible for a 1st round pick to be paid like a 3rd down back should be?
failed 1st round picks fuck up a team big time. that’s where you lay the foundation, not put up lawn ornaments.
never said content. said better than nothing. and the pay thing i am not well-versed in. how long does that bonus and first contract last?

I use turkey for almost all my meals now. Much better for you. Cheaper too.
I like the turkey ground beef for burgers. Cook it right and top it off right and it’s ok.
Turkey bacon, however, is a non starter. I’ll take the fat hit for that taste of sweet, sweet, delicious fried bacon-y goodness.

Actually had this convo last night at the Waffle House. I always ask for my bacon to be burnt to shit. You can’t do this with turkey bacon. It just gets stiff, not blackened.

if buffalo strip steaks weren’t $20/lb I’d buy more of those, too
June 29th, 2011 at 9:42 AM
re: cooking with ground turkey
Only thing I’ve really been able to make that was any good was turkey chili. Anyone got any good fixins to share? I know it’s better for me and I try to really limit the red meat intake anymore.
Had AYCE sushi last night. Pre-meal weigh in was 180.2. Post meal weigh in clocked in at 183.1. If it’s not AYCE, I just don’t want to go for sushi anymore. All that food (including appetizers and tip) cost me $24.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:42 AM
better than nothing is relative…brady quinn was a terrible 1st round pick but netted the browns peyton hillis. having a 3rd round pick making $3-5 mm is a waste.
his contract’s online somewhere…lil too busy too look up right now.
June 29th, 2011 at 9:42 AM
Using a first round pick on a low-upside player is a terribly wasted opportunity, and a reason for a GM to be fired.
Third down backs can be found in the free agent pool for next to nothing, every year.
i undrstand all that. i never said your goal should be to draaft a 3rd down back in the first round. i said if he turns into that, it’s better than nothing. fgood 3rd down backs can wreck shit, be tough matchups

Yup, we got a flatware set from my dad’s business partner that we didn’t even register for and wasn’t from any of our registry stores (Macys, BB&Beyond, Williams-Sonoma) so we really have no way to return it to get cash. People give a receipt if you’re going to give us gifts or just give us cash.

She (and many other things) are catnip to a media establishment that is constantly derelict of duty.
In the old CBA, sometimes teams had control up to six years. But first round players get big bonuses – real money that affects the cap that can’t be wasted on bench players. Goal of a first round pick is always – at a minimum – a career starter.
This conversation has done a great thing, reminded me of Cam Cameron and Ted Ginn again. I’m smiling.

I’m out on voting anyway. Quick rant: In Missouri, we are known as the puppy mill capital of the country (among other things). So we passed this law last year that essentially would make it almost impossible to run a true puppy mill. It was a close vote, but it passed. Well, the politicians that didn’t support it got it overturned. After the voters of this state passed it. Why the fuck did I even cast my vote. Buncha mouth breathing hillbillies in this state that were worried they couldn’t make a living off of making animals suffer.

Buncha mouth breathing hillbillies
Sadly, these mouth breathing hillbillies make up more of a percentage of our population than I’d care to think about, which is why we get candidates like Bachman, Palin, etc. who are more worried about what some guys did 250 years ago (and they can’t even get those facts straight) and waving the flag than they are about suggesting viable solutions to more pressing problems.
