Australian Scott Jones and his girlfriend, Canadian Alexandra Thomas, who have been dubbed the Vancouver Riots Kissing Couple, have hired a “public relations giant” to handle whatever may be in store for them in the coming weeks/months.

There is also some “obvious commercial opportunity’’ for “the most romantic couple’’ in the way of endorsements, he says, jewellery being a likely product.

Markson says he’s already had some conversations with Michael Hill Jeweller, an international retailer headquartered in Australia, exploring this possibility.

An appearance by the couple could generate them $10,000, Markson told the Star. A full-blown endorsement contract “might be worth 100,000 to them,’’ says Markson.
