J-Kidd isn’t getting younger, Peja gets killed defensively when he is on the court, JET can’t get spacing with LeBron on him, and Tyson isn’t much of an offensive weapon. Meanwhile, Caron Butler is still sitting on the bench and the loss of Haywood was HUGE on the interior defense. With maturing of the Thunder and Grizzlies and the re-tooling LA and SA will be going through, I don’t know if the Mavericks can get back to this point.

This is inaccurate. The biggest effect on Iverson, other than being basically done by that point, was Ty Lue. Lue became a big story in the second half of game 1 and from that point on in the series.
