A couple weeks ago I wrote about the ultimate sports announcing duos, and among the pairings I chose were Marv Albert and the late, great Gorilla Monsoon. Well if Monsoon were still with us today, he’d be celebrating his 74th birthday. So in honor of the special day I present to you the most absurd boxing match you’ll ever see.

It features Monsoon, who was pretty large in his own right, against a young but still not spry Andre the Giant. Providing humorous voiceover commentary is the late Lord Alfred Hayes.

Despite a hefty number of views, neither I nor Stephen Douglas had ever seen it before. It’s well worth all seven minutes.
