Jack Edwards Compares Alex Burrows To His Child Biting His Wife’s Breast
NESN’s Jack Edwards was on WEEI’s Big Show with Glenn Ordway and Michael Holley. Edwards went on a three minute rant about how Alex Burrows knew he bit Patrice Bergeron’s finger because his daughter once bit his wife’s breast when she was breast-feeding and his daughter knew she was wrong. As far as radio rants go, it’s pretty calm, but worth a listen. I think Edwards even offers to bit Burrows’ grandson at the end. I’m really not sure where the metaphor ends. [Fang's Bites]

Jack, you are one crazy son of a bitch.

He was always so normal on SportsCenter.

because his daughter once bit his wife’s breast when she was breast-feeding

I don’t even know what to say, that video was odd.

Should have been suspended.

This counts as the hockey post for the day, right?

Jack Edwards is awesome.

That’s just weird. This thing has been so overblown it’s ridiculous.

Anyone else watching the slave auction (aka the NHL Combine) today?

Nadal wins in straight sets. Now (part of?) the Federer/Djokovic match.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:35 AM
Had he been given 5 and the gate in Game 1, it wouldn’t be. 2 minute minor isn’t sufficient.

For what exactly? Each of the officials stated that they didn’t see it.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:36 AM
Yes. Gotta see who we grab with that extra second round pick!
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:37 AM
4 minutes, and as far as I’m concerned, if Bergeron is going to stick his hands in someone’s face and mouth what does he think is going to happen?
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:38 AM
And yet they saw the effects (bloody fingers)
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:38 AM
Plus one of the officials apparently said there was no cut like Bergeron said there was.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:38 AM
Fabulous Weapon is right, you know.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:39 AM
Agreed. It would be like if Chara had sprained his shoulder for throwing Pacioretty into the stanchion and then complained about it.

I’m not defending Burrows here, we all now he bit him. But, point me to the rule that states they should call a penalty for that? They miss highsticks that draw blood too.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:40 AM
The tone might be calm, but in terms of being over the top, it’s everything I’ve come to expect from Jack Edwards.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:41 AM
Hopefully Burrows and Berge just drop the gloves in Game 2 so this can just be settled like gentlemen.

Who would surrender first?
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:43 AM
Bergeron doesn’t need yet another concussion. I am sure his brain is like mashed potatoes already.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:44 AM
Not going to happen (obviously) but I do hope this after the whistle stuff just goes away. The Canucks have been good this year not getting caught up in it all year, and everytime they do it costs them (see: last year’s Chicago series)
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:45 AM
Vigneault.
Oh, you said surrender. I thought you said bitch and moan until they get their way. My bad.
/read Toews evaluation yesterday, saw the SH goal
//the hate is back
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:49 AM
I actually saw some pretty respectful comments from Toews the other day on ESPN about that series. Course he says he’s still not rooting for the Canucks, but I can understand that.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:51 AM
Toews has tremendous respect for your goaltender. Fabulous Weapon hates everyone on that roster. I think the feeling is mutual though.
Kaner just likes to ravage your women. Hasn’t really been seen on the ice against them since the hatty in ’09. I think the Canucks love him now because he’s turned soft against them. However, that black eye that Kesler gave him might spark something next season.
June 3rd, 2011 at 11:59 AM
I thought he got that at a nightclub after the series, when some woman punched him?
