In the span of a year, the Chancellor (Gee) and Dean of Medicine (Gabbe) both left Vandy for OSU. In as politically correct terms as possible as to not jeopardize my career… to say the least, we survived.

If someone steals, you know about it, and you lie to employer about it when they ask you, you’re just as guilty as the person who stole. Coverup is what this is all about.

I am shocked that Tessel resigned over all this. Eventhough I despise OSU, the fact that a coach is responsible for his players trading Big 10 memerobilia for tattoos is just silly. Who really cares

I find it amusing that despite how cliched it’s become, people still don’t understand “it’s not the crime, it’s the coverup”. I don’t think Tressel is any worse than any other college coaches, but he fucked up big time by lying to the NCAA, and worse, making it easy to prove he lied. I guess you can say it sucks for him to have to resign when the underlying violation seems so minor, but he got what he deserved.

I knew Tressel would be gone the day the free car article came out. I only hope Fickell can have a good showing so he gets a chance to coach when tOSU brings in a new coach next year. Maybe after the punishment there can be a real offensive line coach in town. At least Tressell didn’t kill anybody, and his players didn’t rape anybody, that we know of. Looking at YOU Notre Dame.
