Dammit. Of course I miss this post. My hunch is this will be a big year for RBs and I’m guessing Michael Dyer surprises a lot of people but Auburn isn’t gonna go 14-0 again this year, so he won’t win. SEC OPOY maybe. Lattimore bugs me. He looks slow and lumbering. He’ll get a ton of carries but he’ll average under 5ypc. Knile Davis is interesting but I don’t think he’ll get enough publicity. Somebody throw some B1G RBs at me, other than Montee Ball. The Michael is a threat if Oregon can go 12-0 again. I love the Lamar Miller movement in U fan circles but he realistically isn’t gonna carry it enough. Don’t sleep on Storm. I know Lamar’s got the size for it, too, but Storm is the bulldozer. He runs with real power and Golden is going to love having those two guys (and Seantrel) this year and next

More TDs, and considerably more receiving yards. Puh-leeze. There’s not a soul on this planet who thinks Davis had a better season than Latty, other than those that have at one time yelled Pig Sooey in a crowded stadium. Additionally, he pretty much single-handedly won the UGA and Bama games; Davis had a very good season, but there wasn’t a single game that you could say that about for him.
And finally, Davis had the benefit of having Mallet at QB; Latty had to deal with Garcia.

I know, I was just messing with you. Davis gets overlooked quite a bit though. Lattimore is a beast, like you said he single handidly won games, Davis didn’t have too. Those 3 TD’s he scored against Serkalina had to sting just a little bit though.

Doesn’t Heisman history show us that it’s going to be someone totally off the radar that wins it? So that means I’m going deep. Geno Smith at West Virginia. Holgorsen in town. WVU returning a ton of talent. Big East sucks.

It’s a good point; quite frankly, betting on someone to win the Heisman Trophy pre-season at odds of less than 20-1 is a major, major sucker bet. And the books just eat this crap up, they love setting up these bets for fools.
