It’s up to her to be funny, not Buck and McCarver. I expect baseball from those two guys…and often times don’t even get that. If McCarver looks and acts clueless hey; it’s her moment, not his. No one expects him to do card tricks or juggling in order to keep the audience engaged. She’s the comedian; if she’s not funny, it’s on her. Period.

TV Gold! Fist off, i dislike Joe Buck. Cant stand listening to him. So it was amazing to first see him, not know who Sarah Silverman was. She catches him do it. Then he is just at a loss for words to converse with her, and he ends it all by saying how he “Always has been a big fan of hers”. GIMME A BREAK BUCK! You had to read the sheet in front of you to know who she was! Take him off the air PLEASE!

The only thing I’m yelling at is the screen when listening to Buck/Silverman slowly fingerbang themselves.

well, i’m pretty sure yer not yelling at me 3rdman, so let me clarify: he has said a lot of things, and since he was really famous a long long time ago but is one of those guys that many people are not sure if he;s alive or dead i would not remember if anything he said caused anyone to go ballistic. except if he told dean the scotch ran out

Did he say a lot of things about babes or jewish women that the media went ballistic over? Despite all the things he has said the only shit I recall is this incident, “pretty lady”, and when he called his camera man a fag during one of his Jerry’s Kids telethons.

My apologies…when asked which comediennes he enjoyed he answered that women aren’t funny. Caused considerable uproar. I guess the incident wasn’t as well known as I thought it was.

The only time having a guest in the booth worked was perhaps John Lennon’s visit to the MNF booth in the late 70s (or was that Felix & Oscar’s visit?). Other than that, I don’t understand the insistence by networks to include anyone else other than those assigned to the booth.

Kümmel in the MNF booth a few years ago was pretty good. He didn’t hold back at all.
