Heat-Bulls Game 1: LeBron & Wade vs. Derrick Rose

The Miami Heat take their show to the United Center in Chicago tonight to face Derrick Rose and the Bulls. It seems like almost everyone already has LeBron, Wade, and those other dudes that travel win them in the NBA Finals, so how badly do the Bulls have to outrebound them to remind everyone the Heat are a two-man team with no beef underneath? Big Z, who was the starting center just one week ago, is now playing the role of “inactive.”
Joakim Noah’s genuine distaste for all things LeBron James will bring out the best in him.
The last time these two teams played, members of the Heat wept in the locker room.
Bulls win this one by 10.

A good sports evening: Bulls-Heat, Sharks-Canucks, Red Sox-Yankees
May 15th, 2011 at 7:55 PM
Go Bulls! Please play like game 6 against the Hawks, Boozer!
May 15th, 2011 at 7:58 PM
if the Heat get whistles like the Heat have been getting whistles, this series is going to be no contest.
And please stop using team rebounding to determine anything (i’m channelling Fetch here).

LET’S GO BULLS!

LET’S GO BULLS!
I’m rooting for that, and a grievous injury to Wade, something wheelchair worthy. These assholes have to be stopped.

This series will be nothing close to “no contest.”
When you’re that grotesquely thin underneath, it’s worth mentioning.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:03 PM
Daaaaaaaaaaa Bulls da Bulls da Bulls da Bulls da Bulls!!!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:05 PM
Rose will score 34.

it’s something Fetch always used to say. He was really adamant about it.
It is my belief that the Heat will shoot 20 more free throws per game, and that Noah will have to sit extended stretches because he keeps “fouling” wade and lebron.

Anyone but the Bulls. Go Heat!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:06 PM
wow. what a first 24 seconds. block, lebron pass, wade dunk. damn.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:07 PM
oh my! another one!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:07 PM
The King.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:14 PM
rough start for Rose. already 3 turnovers halfway through the 1st qtr
May 15th, 2011 at 8:21 PM
Bulls look awful offensively. Rose, take over, will ya?
May 15th, 2011 at 8:23 PM
Real curious how the Bulls’ 2nd unit will perform. hopefully, they can put pressure on the Heat to bring back the starters, quick
May 15th, 2011 at 8:24 PM
Reggie Miller being a part of this booth means me all lose
Bulls should feel fortunate to only be down 4 here…need to settle down and stop forcing bad passes
May 15th, 2011 at 8:26 PM
yup. hate that guy both as a player and announcer.
Agreed that the Bulls should feel fortunate. Can’t let turnovers happen so often- leading to the easy points and not letting the D set up.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:28 PM
wow. rose splits double, goes right into wade and scores
May 15th, 2011 at 8:30 PM
wow that’s two missed layups by Wade already.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:37 PM
man, Bosh looks real nice early. like the old Bosh
May 15th, 2011 at 8:37 PM
helluva dunk there.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:37 PM
OH MY! FACIAL OF THE PLAYOFFS! WOW!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:38 PM
Gibson puttin it on bitch!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:38 PM
WHAT A DUNK!
May 15th, 2011 at 8:38 PM
or, like he’s looked pretty much all season.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:40 PM
Taj Gibson’s career highlight, right?
May 15th, 2011 at 8:42 PM
Umm, pretty well so far.
May 15th, 2011 at 8:47 PM
LOL the Heat have 6 players on the floor… how is that not a T?
May 15th, 2011 at 8:48 PM
/as Steve Kerr asked as well
May 15th, 2011 at 8:48 PM
posted video of the Taj Gibson dunk. maybe we can move the conversation there at halftime
May 15th, 2011 at 8:54 PM
Light crowd tonight
May 15th, 2011 at 8:55 PM
Rose is so generous, he loves giving the ball to the other team
May 15th, 2011 at 8:55 PM
Missed part of the game, but the ridiculous continuation in the first and the non T for having 6 Heat players on the floor stood out
May 15th, 2011 at 8:59 PM
Gonna need Korver to knock down those open threes, but nice O rebounding by Noah there. Loved that the classic DWade side-floater-falldown didn’t get called as a foul right before that.
May 15th, 2011 at 9:03 PM
Bulls size a huge factor this half.
May 15th, 2011 at 9:05 PM
how can Bosh even complain about that call? I thought he was trying to foul him on purpose.
May 15th, 2011 at 9:07 PM
Smartly spoelstra kept his”bigs” in street clothes.
May 15th, 2011 at 9:11 PM
/Exhales
That half was freaking intense, Bulls need to stop giving us second chance points and turnovers and they could be alright here
May 15th, 2011 at 9:38 PM
what happened to Noah’s touch around the rim? i mean, he’s never been a great guy in the lane, but he looks downright TURRIBLE
May 15th, 2011 at 9:46 PM
Noah, doin’ work at the offensive and defensive end there.
NOW STOP BOSH
