Antti Niemi’s Sprawling Glove Save
Jonathan Ericsson had what looked like an open net, but Antti Niemi made a diving glove save last night. Cool save, but the Sharks still lost and Detroit has forced a Game 6 after falling down 3-0 in the series. They’ll try again on Tuesday.

I would very much like to thank the Wings for making this a long series.

Still let in a muffin later in the game that cost the Sharks. And Jeremy Roenick can fuck right off. Calling Marleau gutless behind a desk.
West is going to be battered and beaten when they finally get to Timmy and the B’s in the SCF. Not good for whoever comes out of the conference.

This is par for the course for Ericsson. He really, really sucks at hockey.

This right here. FML

I actually have the opposite thinking, I think the Western representative will be better off from playing these games. More beaten yes, but also more battle tested.

Agree 100%

PREDS

I’d also agree with this. They’re playing a lot of games, yes, but it doesn’t look like either series is particularly bruising or anything. These teams aren’t the ‘hard hitters’ from what I’ve seen.

Wrong. Health is vitally important. Oh and WWOS, told ya Joel Ward is the man.

Where is Vladdy and his Joel Ward love?
/turns ire on Kostitsyn and Klein

Timmy and the B’s FTW. Should be a good series though when they play the Preds.

Every time Ward scores I get a few texts from friends rubbing in all the bad stuff I’ve said when he stumbles past the goal without getting a shot off. I’m pretty glad my number isn’t published on this site…

/still fuming over Buffalo’s loss to those dicks from Philly. Boston wouldn’t have swept the fighting Ryan Millers
May 9th, 2011 at 2:34 PM
Not a chance, but I’d shit myself in happiness. Def a no-lose situation for me. I’d be rooting for the Preds, but barely. Gotta keep in mind I grew up in New England, just was more into UNH hockey than the B’s

If you can’t score enough on a team that has zero goaltending, well you don’t really deserve to move on…

There’s a really cute tickle fight going on in the Simmons-Olbermann thread from the weekend if anyone needs entertainment.

tickle fight? fun.
May 9th, 2011 at 2:52 PM
Sweet, guess I’ll check it out.

Nah, don’t waste your time.

I wish JR would shut the hell up. Watch Patricia Marleau scores 2 goals Tuesday.

I would love to! lol

I’m pretty happy not to have to watch JR on TV. With that said, Marleau was primarily at fault for the winning goal last night, had an opportunity to get the puck out and didn’t, then he half tried to pressure Datsyuk and lost coverage on his point.
