Well then, at least we can both agree Keith Olbermann is a has-been.

You know someone is a has-been when his supporters will only define him by what he “was” in the past.

It’s described as “has”, because it’s what he “has” done so far. Nice try though.

Identify one place where I have defended Simmons. I hadn’t even written his name before just now. Pay attention, and ease up on the capital letters and exclamation points.

I find it peculiar however, that you would mention one trick ponies, and include a guy who was at the top of the chain on a sports network and news network, while taking a look at Simmons’ career and not see him as such, or at least include him in that category. Interesting.

Carrot Top and Olbermann haven’t had the same career paths, but they have had similar trajectories. Both are both one-trick ponies who are gracelessly clutching at current events to keep the withered husks of their former fame from blowing away in the winds of irrelevance.

why would Simmons ignore someone with much higher name recognition? The thing he needs to do is come up with better comebacks than “you made Suzy Kolber cry”. Makes me think he’s lost without being able to insert a cultural reference or playing his role as Larry Bird’s left testicle.

More people have probably heard of Carrot Top too, but he, like Olbermann, is an unemployed has-been who nobody likes.

I don’t think Carrot Top has a similar career path as the other two. Nice try though.
