Suh and Fairley = Nightmare Fuel
April 29th, 2011 at 8:51 AM
Sigh…
Prince was supposed to have safety help, but the safety got sucked in with the flea flicker. He was supposed to jam Blackmon and then release him to the safety. I could find the article where Bo and Prince talk about this, but I don’t think you’d care to read it.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:52 AM
awww… who knew reggie bush was so fragile.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
January Jones is pregnant, but who is the father?
<==== this guy right here
April 29th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
I agree. Fairley is going to get singled his entire stay at DET, so if he isn’t productive, that’s all on him. The Lions will most likely draft a DB with their second round pick now, right? Maybe the kid from Miami or Texas?
April 29th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
Very thoughtful and right before Mother’s Day, no less.
/badly needs to mow my own lawn.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
There was no need for the temper tantrum. Him freaking out over Ingram is like Suh freaking out because they got Fairley.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
The Spring Game?
Love the shit Jets fans give Giants fans even though the Giants have had tons more success in the past three decades. The Jets hang their hat on getting to AFCCGs.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
/honestly, Pierre Thomas is the big loser in this
April 29th, 2011 at 8:55 AM
He was supposed to jam Blackmon and then release him to the safety
he never even made an attempt to jam him…
April 29th, 2011 at 8:56 AM
I thank my lucky stars that the Pats played the NFC North LAST year. Those 2 are going to wreck some QBs.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
Detroit is going to be a fun team to watch. Jay Cutler better be ready to be sacked 10x per game.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
No Canes in the first round for the second straight year. That’s okay though. Brandon Harris is the DB who I don’t think is all too special but the dirth of CBs has been discussed many times. I am really anxious to see where Hankerson goes, I think he will end up having a better pro career than the kid from Pitt.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
Hey now. Don’t put Suh and Reggie in the same sentence. Reggie is a third down back who returns punts. Nothing more.
Let me find the article. I may have gotten the jam thing wrong, but I know the safety fucked up on the play and they were supposed to have a safety shadowing Blackmon on that play.
April 29th, 2011 at 8:59 AM
Same here. This time of year is bullshit, I need to mow at least twice a week.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:00 AM
“Woman Busted for Buying Prostitute for Elderly Dad in Tampa” …
i realize this isn’t your headline, but you don’t buy prostitutes. You can buy a sex slave, but you buy services from a prostitute. At no point do you actually own her.
Similar to how you don’t buy a hotel room. You have full access, and in the really crummy ones, there’s a kitchenette, but you don’t actually ever take ownership of the thing.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:00 AM
his time of year is bullshit, I need to mow at least twice a week.
still mud season up here.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:00 AM
I like he has 5 sisters named Princess, Promise, Peace, Precious, & Passionate.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
But why are they taking an RB at all? With Bush, Thomas and Ivory, are they still not satisfied? Taking a so-so back with a bad wheel doesn’t seem like the biggest need. But hey, that’s just me.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
some old dude i work with, who bones over his lawn, told me that you don’t cut your lawn before May 1.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
Probably because the kid from Pitt will be in and out of the doghouse with Haley. It’s going to be awesome to watch Baldwin get to learn the ropes from another malcontent in Bowe.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:02 AM
I get your point. My point is that Reggie Bush is retarded if he thinks that Mark Ingram will change his role or reduce his playing time.
If Reggie Bush was Mark Ingram, he wouldn’t have been benched for Julius Jones in the playoff game.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:02 AM
I am really anxious to see where Hankerson goes, I think he will end up having a better pro career than the kid from Pitt
i’m hoping he goes to cleveland today.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
I think it’s a good pick. Ingram can be a 20 carry back in the league. The Saints need that. Reggie is soft as shit, and the other guys are just okay.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
Their secondary is still dogshit.
After sleeping on it, I really don’t think the Ponder pick is that bad. If they couldn’t trade down, oh well. Time to think about what we have instead of what could have been.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:03 AM
Are people in hollywood unaware of the existence of birth control?
April 29th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
They need a WR. I wonder where Titus Young goes. He could be a really good slot receiver.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
I’m not a fan of naming someone an adjective.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:04 AM
Unless you live above I-90, that’s not possible.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
Balance. That was the difference between 2009 and 2010.
Ivory couldn’t put together two straight games without getting injured.
PT is best suited as a glorified, smaller version of Chester Taylor.
Bush is a hybrid/decoy who creates mismatches for everyone else on the field.
Ingram is a 350 carry a season running back. They don’t have one on this roster. I love the pick if he stays healthy.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
It is, but they still have several picks and FA to get a serviceable corner. I think they should have taken Prince, but I bet Schwartz got a massive boner when he saw Fairley slide to them.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
and by nervous you mean sick to the stomach right?
christian fucking ponder? seriously? if it wasn’t for matt millen the Vikings would be the perennial laughing stock of the draft. oh what’s that? they already are? cool, thanks.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:05 AM
When you get as much sex as they do, statistically a few are bound to get through.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:06 AM
But why are they taking an RB at all? With Bush, Thomas and Ivory, are they still not satisfied? Taking a so-so back with a bad wheel doesn’t seem like the biggest need. But hey, that’s just me.
they couldn’t run it at all last year late. Brees was throwing 50 times a game. I really like that pick.
I really don’t think the Ponder pick is that bad
it’s that bad.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:06 AM
If you’re going to go with an adjective maybe you should choose something more appropriate for an infant/toddler/adolescent/senior citizen?
April 29th, 2011 at 9:06 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 9:06 AM
They need a WR. I wonder where Titus Young goes. He could be a really good slot receiver.
same with jerrel jernigan from troy.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
i’m glad you’re more optimistic than I am weeze. I see nothing good about that pick.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
Don’t worry, the Jets are still in the league.
Speaking of which, TBL, you might want to fix this:
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
On the plus side, none of them would need to make up fake stripper names, should they choose that profession.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
Disagree with all of this. thomas and Ivory both proved they were better than okay, which imo, is all Ingram will be. And he won’t be getting 20 carries a game in any case. Not how NO rolls.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
Their secondary is still dogshit.
tough to expose that dogshit secondary when every dropback ends in 2 seconds with a collapsed pocket.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
Outside of the flea flicker, Blackmon had 4 catches for the rest of the game, and I don’t know if he had but one in the second half. Again, knock Prince all you want, but don’t used one play where the safety fucks up as “evidence” of anything. I have no clue what the Giants needed, but like Detroit and Fairley, I suspect they took the best player on the board at 19.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
I really don’t think the Ponder pick is that bad
it’s that bad.
locker is that bad. ponder, i’m not ready to say is that bad.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
Fairley is just a great pick for the Lions. It was fun to watch him slide last night and think about the possibility of Fairley and Suh playing together. Lions did the absolute right thing in taking Fairley.
I love the Saints taking Ingram. Saints have a team that has a 3-4 year window of being a contender every year. Ingram is going to eat yards in between the tackles and hopefully make the opposing teams safeties have to step up into the box more often giving Brees some more looks downfield.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:08 AM

//I am being serious.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:08 AM
And he won’t be getting 20 carries a game in any case. Not how NO rolls.
They won’t have to throw it on 3rd and 1 anymore.
I also really dont’ remember Ivory being any good at all for them, outside of 1 game.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
Yeah, I agree. I can’t see Sean Payton running his offense through one back like that.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
May have something to do with both thomas and ivory being hurt.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
He will the week the Saints go up against any team with a bad or depleted secondary. That’s how Sean Payton rolls.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
I guess we can all agree now that, while fun, mock drafts are useless.
/fuck you Arizona
//Aldon fucking Smith
///kills self
April 29th, 2011 at 9:09 AM
The Vikings don’t have a “Draft Blunders” montage with someone screaming “OHHHH NOOOOOOO!!” like he’s going to jump off a bridge, before the pick is even announced.
So double Suh, put a fullback in to chip Fairley, and get that extra 2 seconds to torch their high school caliber safetys.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
Umm…no. The RBs on NOs team are nothing but average at actually running the ball. The only reason they get good yardage at times is because teams are scared shitless of Brees and the WRs. Ingram gives them a legit horse, but as Jay said, only if he stays healthy. I fully expect he and Julio Jones to be hurt half of the time.
/weeps
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
The play that would worry me about Prince is around the :45 mark of the above video.
I like the Prince pick for the Giants. He may not be a shutdown corner but he should be productive in the league for a long time.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
I guess we can all agree now that, while fun, mock drafts are useless.
if dumbass spencer doesn’t fuck us up, we could have tied Mike Mayock’s total in the commenter draft.

bobby flay….?
this better not mess up mad men…bitch.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
Yeah. Not to mention how much this will help the edge rushers. Rodgers, Cutler and Webb/Ponder will have their work cut out for them. Not looking forward to playing the Lions to end the season.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
The long passes weren’t there this year. And Brees’s arm is going to fall off if they don’t change their personality.
He also fumbled more times in 6 games than Ingram did his entire college career.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:11 AM
God damn do I not care about the Royal wedding.
WHO THE FUCK CARES?!?!
I’m convinced that the only reason that this is a huge thing on TV is because women demand to see it. I’d be surprised to find a normal man who gives a fuck about some “Prince” getting married.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:12 AM
He actually had three or more good games, in between being nicked up and not getting a ton of carries. dude is a hard runner, and i like guys that run with attitude.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
In the minds of Vikings fans, last night was lose/lose no matter what happened. They said the Jacksonville trade “forced their hand” which meant they were waiting for Gabbert to fall, which would’ve made people just as pissed as they are today. An OT like Costanzo would’ve been totally underwhelming, especially seeing how he ended up in the 20s.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
May have something to do with both thomas and ivory being hurt.
so drafting somebody is a bad idea, given a team’s history of attrition at the position? I fail to see how what you say doesn’t help disprove your argument.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:13 AM
Kate Upton. What a lady.
All of you complainers. Did any of your teams draft a player in the first round who will be 27 when the season starts? No? OK.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
All of this. The moment the safties come up, Brees will shred them. I think this was a great pick…dammit.
I think he’s going to very solid. He’s big, physical and can run. He also learned under Pelini who coaches up defensive players.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
¡Quiero más!
I hadn’t had a guy on one of my favorite teams have this happen yet so I guess it was due to occur. I’m probably overlooking some earlier incident but anyway, good work Lowe. (ugh)
April 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
January Jones is pregnant, but who is the father?
I don’t watch Mad Men, but I do no she is a fan of fucking many B list and lower actors. Somewhere this is a list of 10 guys she has fucked. Sportsgal wouldn’t even fuck them.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM
I’m convinced that the only reason that this is a huge thing on TV is because women demand to see it.
it will end up with more viewers than anything else that has ever been shown on television anywhere ever. And if you don’t actively watch it, it just disappears without being a bother.
I turned it on for my wife, she saw about 10 minutes, and went on with her life. No big deal over here.

I will be seeing Kate Upton up close and personal next Thursday nite…I’ll offer my assesement thereafter.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:15 AM
So, realistically, is there a chance that Dalton or Mallet fall to #13 in the 2nd round tonight?
April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
Which works great this year. But the Lions can and should draft/sign a secondary over the next few years. They probably will not have the chance to draft another disruptive DT of Fairleys caliber. This pick looks great for the Lions long term. It wasn’t like they had a good chance of being Super Bowl contenders this year. Now 2-3 years from now that is a different story.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
I like the Prince pick for the Giants. He may not be a shutdown corner but he should be productive in the league for a long time.
he got drafted to rough up DeSean Jackson, and to get in Dez Bryant’s head. They were lucky he was still there.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
this is comical. so if ingram has any success it will be because he is a good runner, not because teams are still scared shitless of brees and wr’s. lol
I guess we can wait and see, but ingram is absolutely nothing special. a platoon back at best (which they already have), and that’s if he can stay healthy.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM
Yeah, that pick was not what I had in mind (I wanted them to get Gabe Carimi), but I’m encouraged by the fact that they recognized that their offensive line is a hot mess. Also, I’m assuming that our new offensive line coach, the much heralded Howard Mudd, had input into this pick. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:16 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 9:17 AM
Imagine how much you would have shit your pants with Ponder going at 12 or Locker at 8.
in real life, all that bullshit really decimated Dallas’s chances to make a trade. Especially after the Atlanta deal. But whatever. Dallas’s guy has unlimited potential. He could even still be an astronaut.

/ doesn’t even like blondes but…DAMN
April 29th, 2011 at 9:18 AM
I thin Ponder could be a very good QB, so I’m not pissed they took him. I’m more pissed at WHERE they took him. Doubly so since Dalton is still on the board
April 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM
I just don’t understand why they felt they had to take a QB. knowing that it is always a longshot, and with no one (at least right now) for him to work under, I just don’t think it is a good pick. I guess it fills a need, but I would have been happier seeing them take someone to shore up the D-Line. I also would have been ok with an OL.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM
Well, I think it probably means Mudd doesn’t care too much for MJG or McGlynn. But even so, a first round pick on a 27 year-old rookie? How is that getting proper value? The guy will have one contract.
Mudd better be a magician. I have a hard time believing the kid is going to be better than the existing options when the season starts.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM
Mallett should be there. Teams are afraid of him because he likes blow and he’s an asshole.
No, genius. What I’m saying is that Ingram can get 4 yards when teams know NO is running the ball. No one else on the team can do this right now. That changes things…a lot.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM
becasue they drafted a guy with a major injury question mark. does that make it clearer for you? By all accounts, he is not the same back as he was before his knee injury. I have no issue if NO gets an RB because they have concerns over thomas and ivory staying healthy, but i don’t think ingram is the guy to alleviate that issue that’s all.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:19 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 9:20 AM
So double Suh, put a fullback in to chip Fairley, and get that extra 2 seconds to torch their high school caliber safetys.
That takes care of the tackles, and if you use a fullback to chip Fairley, you’re leaving VanDenBosh outside to come, and nowhere to step up, because there’s a fullback standing in the pocket.
Detroit really had their choice of anything they wanted at 13.

That big kid from BC that was being rumored would have been nice. I think the needs go OL then secondary, then DL.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:21 AM
I am very interested to see where Mallet ends up. I would not be surprised if the Skins took him with their second rd pick.
Damn. Dalton has to get a Roadhouse inspired nickname, right?
April 29th, 2011 at 9:21 AM
Did any of your teams draft a player in the first round who will be 27 when the season starts? No? OK.
they will have a badass for 6-7 years. that aint so bad.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:22 AM
And with all that being said. The Eagles had one big hole on the O-line, RG. They drafted a guy to play RG. This is the sort of common sense, short-term draft strategy that most fans constantly ask for.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:22 AM
I hope Mallett fired his agent last night.

It seems they were dead set on a QB the entire time. I’m guessing free agency really messed things up for them.
Bright side: it’s not Gabbert, it’s not Locker and it lessens the chance of McNabb. With strong rumors of Bulger to Arizona, I wonder if they go after Hasselbeck?

I’m amazed that he is a top-8 pick in the NFL draft…unreal. He is so fucking average as a QB. If you go back and watch the two games he played against NEB, you’d think he’d be the third stringer in terms of throwing the football.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:22 AM
Their D-line is going to be beastly. If I was a Lions fan(shudder), I’d be demanding O-Line guys for the next three picks.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:23 AM
You’d think if they were going to fire Fisher and make that pick they would have hired Freddi Gonzalez, Manny Acta or Ryne Sandberg to manage the team.

That’s one idea. It could also mean no more Winston Justice.
They could they move Herremans to RT (he came out of college as a tackle), this new kid to one guard spot, and McGlynn and MJG battle for the last guard spot.
Just a thought.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:23 AM
becasue they drafted a guy with a major injury question mark. does that make it clearer for you? By all accounts, he is not the same back as he was before his knee injury. I have no issue if NO gets an RB because they have concerns over thomas and ivory staying healthy, but i don’t think ingram is the guy to alleviate that issue that’s all
we’re back to waiting and seeing. Even if he just platoons, then he improves their platoon. Not my team though. I just liked the trade. New Orleans seems interested in competing to win the SB.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:24 AM
Based on what I have heard, I would be stunnnnnnnnned. All indications are that they like Dalton and Kaepernick both much more. I guess we’ll see though…if both are gone when they pick, maybe they do go Mallet, but I doubt it.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:24 AM
They really did. I bet their heads were spinning when it became clear they would have their choice of Quinn, Fairley or Prince. Hopefully for them Cheap Shot Fairley is as good as he was in college.

April 29th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
Yep. At this point no one can really be sure, maybe not even the staff. Reid certainly won’t be predicting the future. We’ll have to wait until camp.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
New Orleans seems interested in competing to win the SB.
unlike the texans, which did the same thing they always do and take an average d lineman. should have traded up and got peterson. we need db’s so bad, and wade will help alot with the front 7.
better be getting nmandi african name.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:26 AM
Dalton is probably gone early today. So if Skins do not trade up than they do not have a shot at him. I have heard nothing but he just strikes me as such a type of player the Skins would pick in the second and try to groom.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
This is true. They need a DB, but I would think they could get on in FA. Their line is shit, and Stafford’s shoulder appears to made of mush, so that should be something they ought to look at.
They have about 3-4 years left with Brees being great, so the window is closing. I thought they went for it, which is refreshing to see in the usually conservative NFL.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:27 AM
Hmmm, not sure what you are basing that on. When healthy, both average well over 4 a carry. If both are healthy, Ingram is not better than Pierre Thomas. If we can come up with some way to quantify that, I’d happily wager you.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:28 AM
Detroit drafted Fairley? Well, they should lead the league in fines and suspensions for the next 4 years with him and Suh.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:28 AM

They’ll also lead the league in sacking that moopey douche Jay Cutler.

Plus, (but I don’t think this was the sole reason they did it) they had to answer the Falcons.
I disagree about answering. And it seems like the Falcons might let Matt Ryan toss the ball around a little more, drafting throwing options. So next year we’ll see who has him “rated” correctly. I’ve got him rated 12.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:32 AM
Gabe Carimi will handle them both. The rest of the line will focus on the other scrubs they have up front. I’m not worried. Fairley is going to be in prison in 3 years anyways.

The Saints did what the Colts and Patriots should have done. They picked up two guys who could really elevate the talent level of their team. Saints, Colts and Pats all have great qbs who realistically have a 3-4 year run of great play left. They should be building for the next few seasons. I understand them giving up draft picks to get some talent they believe to be elite.

I’m just indifferent to the whole thing. It was on at the gym this morning, so I glanced at it. She looked gorgeous. I shrugged my shoulders, muttered something about how it must be nice to be born into royalty, and then went on with my day. If you hate something so much, just don’t watch it, it’s not that hard.
That being said, CNN.com taking up half the page with coverage of the wedding and putting the tragedy with the tornadoes beneath it was a bit tacky. But that’s just CNN being CNN.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:35 AM

Woah, did the draft end last night? That sucks.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:37 AM
Eh, that was a wash. In some ways, they won by creating more damage, what with burning D.C. and all. Moreover, Jackson’s victory at New Orleans was technically two weeks after the peace treaty was signed and we got fucked when we tried to invade Canada at the war’s outset.
If anything, we can thank Napoleon for making it not in the Brits best interest to continue prosecuting the war against us, not that it would have changed much given the distance they had to travel. But we might have had worse peace terms if the war had gone on than returning to the status quo ante.

the sad thing is one of my college roommates said something similar on facebook yesterday in all seriousness.

April 29th, 2011 at 9:38 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 9:38 AM
My concern is Mularkey as the OC. He doesn’t like to toss the ball around 30 times a game. Will he all of a sudden change his style? I assume there will be pressure to do just that. I also think Julio is a faster version of Roddy White, but he’s not really a burner that will stretch defenses. He’s not AJ Green, and if ATL wanted Green, as it has been reported, but Cincy wanted too much, why not trade up to 13 and draft an edge rusher, keep your second and get Jernigan (sp?) or Young? All I can say is that Jones better be damn good, and he better be damn good quickly. How many WRs blow up in their rookie year? Not many I wouldn’t think.
April 29th, 2011 at 9:39 AM

I understand not wanting to sit around and watch it but it is an interesting story to a lot of people. I watched a few videos and wanted to see her dress. And I thought it was really romantic and sweet when he told her at the church that she looked beautiful. I wonder if he thinks about his mom a lot today…

BB has done the same thing in the draft for years. If the guy he wants isn’t there he will fill another need and not take a player he doesn’t like at the same position. That is why they took Solder and traded the other pick. A lot of people have started to criticize this in recent years even though he gets the rrrrrrrrrrrrings pass in most cases. There’s nothing I can do about it so I just sit back and let the chips fall. You figure giving the defense another year to mature and shoring up the O-line would be enough to get another 14-2 or some such similar performance out of the team. It does cause concern about getting over the playoff hump which they haven’t the last two years but let’s focus on the important stuff: a prince got married today.

Vez – what the hell is Slud?
April 29th, 2011 at 10:12 AM
yeah, the next in line is never really put in any dangerous position. they just don’t care that much about the younger brother since he will only assume the throne if his father dies and william dies with no heir.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:12 AM
A little late here, I proceeded to drink heavily after that pick last night and slept in a little.
Vikes could have taken a DL and gotten Ponder today.
Aside from T-Joke, at least Childress recognized the fact that in the draft, you don’t always just take the position player you need, you also need to look at the best player available. Now Suh and his new teammate are going to be a major thorn in the Vikings side.

/where did the phrase “can’t hold a candle to…” come from?
http://englishwithsunil.wordpress.com/2007/11/09/cant-hold-a-candle-to-someone/
Thanks. It’s amazing how phrases like that can stick around for hundreds of years.

Agree on Ponder, but I think O-Line is a bigger need.

Ok…if you’ve got the money and you were going bald, do you:
-embrace it
-shave it
-get really good plugs

Ha… although he’s doing alright for himself. He just locked up a certifiable 18 on a scale of 1-10.

For all the skanks that you guys drool over, I would think that you would lose your shit over how gorgeous she is.

the most liberating thing i could do with my hair loss was go for a short buzz cut. after years of trying to ignore it and prevent it, i buzzed and felt instantly better about myself. i’ll go shorter and shorter as it gets more sparse, eventually shaving it in a fw years.

Tom Brady went the plugs route, and not only that, he threw his richness in our faces by getting the super long ones so he could have that hipster-hair of his.
In my opinion embracing it is the way to go. Just own that baldness. I think women prefer confidence more than insecurity. (duh)
April 29th, 2011 at 10:16 AM
Fuck. I go to cancel one of the tee times I booked for me and my buddies tomorrow, and the course shows no record of me even having times, despite my e-mail confirmation.
Not a good start to my weekend.

Also has chicken legs. Clearly she’s not a TBL visitor. Hopefully yesterday’s CRM post will fix that.

–”He’s standing confidentially at the plate.”
–”The runners are returning to their respectable bases.”
April 29th, 2011 at 10:17 AM
Yeh, thats probably the way to go. Also depends on age/marital status. If I’m single I might go for the plugs. Married shes dealing with it.

April 29th, 2011 at 10:20 AM
oddly enough, i thought about buzzing my hair for a long time, but my now wife kept telling me not to until after we got married. i think i look like shit in our wedding photos, but apparently she liked it enough.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:21 AM
I know I’ll eventually go bald (or at least lose a large part of my temple) so I’ve already decided I’m going to buzz or keep it short until I have to actually shave it. I have a long oval face so I didn’t know how a buzz would look so I tried it a couple of months ago and fucking loved it. If I didn’t have a receding hairline, it would have looked awesome, but later on when most of my hair is gone? No problem.
I get that hair is attractive, but its possible to be attractive while bald. Just work out, find a quality job, be passionate about something, and you’ll get girls. Hair is not a necessity.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:21 AM

April 29th, 2011 at 10:23 AM
you get more looks with a buzzed head and going bald than a head of thinning hair with poor attempts to cover it up or pretend it’s not there.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:23 AM
this.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:24 AM
LOL
April 29th, 2011 at 10:24 AM
A broomstick with wolf legs, no less.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:25 AM
Well, its fairly straight forward that trying to cover up balding = insecurity, and girls can smell that from a mile away.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:25 AM
I have a ‘uge head. I’d prefer to have some hair up there, but I get what you are saying.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:26 AM
One of my TA’s had crazy tumble weeds. It just looks bad…if your top is missing, why in the hell are you leaving the sideS?!?!
April 29th, 2011 at 10:26 AM

Like I said… own the baldness… confidence cancels out the fact that you’re losing your hair. Show me an insecure guy and I’ll show you a guy who’s not getting laid.
/used to be insecure
//started working out(among other things), much better now
April 29th, 2011 at 10:26 AM
The claws are out from the ladies this morning. There’s 3.5 billion of you on this planet. Why am I ogling a thin one when I prefer them a little larger?
50 lbs puts me at 230, CJ. I didn’t know you liked them short and fat.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:27 AM
I dont get that either. It looks gross

April 29th, 2011 at 10:29 AM
I have a fairly oblong shaped head, so my hair doesn’t look great with a buzz either (based on my current hairline) but I still loved the freedom of it. But if its between keeping tumbleweeds or buzzing it, I’d rather buzz it.
Most people don’t notice it unless you look exceptionally bad with crazy lumps on your head, or you look really good. Nobody gives a shit.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:30 AM
All of this. Really the only manly thing to do.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:31 AM
There is nothing more disappointing then seeing a cute guy with a hat on only to have him take his hat off and expose a goofy looking haircut for his partially bald head. I’m looking at you, Matt Hasselbeck.
April 29th, 2011 at 10:31 AM
Working out is perhaps the single greatest thing you can do for yourself in terms of confidence.
within 3 months, everyone feels like a fucking champ.

Her sister. I watched the wedding. It was awesome. I like seeing people, no matter who they are, be happy, and a whole nation showing pride about stuff that doesn’t involve death and destruction.
Also, the Saints have no confidence in their rbs. They started their 8th rb in a playoff game that they lost. Name another rb in this draft that you want? Ingram came back from being injured in the beginning of last year and had a very productive year. Brees is going to love not having to force the ball on short distances when everyone knows it’s coming.
