Guy Who Gave Up Grand Slam to A-Rod Agrees that A-Rod is a “Derogatory Phrase”
Alex Rodriguez: Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Josh Rupe gave up a grand slam to Alex Rodriguez over the weekend. Then, he went on a radio station in Virginia and when a radio host called A-Rod a “derogatory phrase,” Rupe agreed, and said indeed A-Rod was a “derogatory phrase.” The Baltimore Sun wouldn’t print the word, but my guess is that it was “douche.” Rupe said it was a “joking” conversation. “I said he was a great player and does a lot of great things. And the conversation was basically, he does some things that are kind of that way — and I agreed,” the pitcher said. [Sun]

Calling somebody a douche is a derogatory phrase? Weird.
And Rupe may be bad at baseball (why the hell did Buck keep him?), but I’ll cheer for him if he did call him a douche.

Jesus. People need to lighten the fuck up already. File this right under the things I don’t give a shit about, similar to Kobe calling someone a fag and Gaga calling something retarded.
I use those words all the time and have nothing against homos and slow kids. Everything doesn’t need to be taken so fucking literally. Pump. The. Brakes.

More damning, I thought, was Rupe’s open admission that Buck Showalter is actually a Yankees double-agent. I’ll try and find the audio
