Beano Cook is Like Everyone Else: He Thinks Urban Meyer Will Follow Jim Tressel at Ohio State
Beano Cook: Everyone’s frothy prognosticator was on the radio this week doing what he does best – firing up the college football cognoscenti (he’ll never, ever live Ron Powlus down; it may make his obit one day). Cook, in a nice little rant, predicted Urban Meyer would be coaching Ohio State in 2012. (My prediction, back in December, was 2013.) You can laugh off Cook if you want, but he does make a good point – when Meyer does decide to return to coaching, he can pick his job. Cook thinks Meyer will decide between Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State. I’d add USC to that list, but only if Kiffin destroys the program. Some have mentioned Penn State, but I think that’s a pipe dream. [Dispatch via CFT]

No State Penn unless he murders Paterno and assumes the throne.
As for Beano, if he’s saying Meyer to OSU, I doubt it comes to fruition.

You can laugh off Cook if you want
So this means we can laugh at you as well?
I’ve been out, so maybe this has been covered. Goto Drudge and watch the video of this chick getting beat in a McDonalds. Watch all the way through for the seizures. Fucked up.

So cook thinks nd, um, and osu will all have an opening? I doubt both notre dame and tsun are gonna can their coaches in a yr or 2.

I just don’t see why he’d quit Florida to join lesser programs. It does not get much better than where he had Florida when he left.

Stoops to Notre Dame!
He never actually said Bob Stoops was going to coach Notre Dame. You’re just a hater.

here’s one more post where it doesn’t actually say that Stoops will coach at Notre Dame.
too bad about all those lost comments. These were some glory days of TBL bashing.

This wouldn’t shock me at all. Not one bit. His line about spending time with his family was bullshit anyway. His heart was going to explode if he didn’t settle down.

beano’s prediction may have come true on powlus if the guy had gone to a pro-style offense instead of lou holtz’ option offense. square peg/round hole.
for some strange reason i love beano cook. would much rather hear beano babble than craig james.

Sean Jean: His health was pretty bad. His doctors essentially told him he needed to take a break. The connection to OSU is because he’s from there, but if ND is open (doubt it will be) I would think he’d go to ND over OSU. After Pelini is caught on tape punching a walk-on, Herban is more than welcome to come to Lincoln.

don’t think it does get better unless he wanted to rebuild the hurricanes or, as TBL suggested, he cleans up lane kiffin’s mess at USC.
not sure how true this is, but i heard one reason why meyer never left florida for south bend was because his wife was adamant she didn’t want to leave florida. no idea how to confirm that.

Not strange at all. He loves CFB, and listening to people talk about CFB who actually love the sport is always good.

i fully expect bo pelini to go all woody hayes on some player. dude REALLY needs to dial it down.

Hear? Sure. See? I’d rather not see Beano Cook ever again.

I love him and I don’t want him to change one bit. I don’t think he’ll ever cross the line. I really don’t. I want a defensive minded coach who is hard-nosed as my coach. It’s why if UGA makes a change, I would hope they would look at defensive guys as opposed to offensive guys.
