Media Musings: I mentioned this late last night on twitter, but the online rumble between a few Philly newspaper guys is worth nothing here. It appears as if John Gonzalez of the Inquirer fired the first shot, then David Murphy of the Daily News landed a haymaker, apologized for said haymaker, and then explained his position. Gonzalez proceeded to go off, dragged Dan Gross of the Daily News into it, and the benches emptied. Unfortunately, it was broken up without further incident. We need more newspaper brouhahas like this. Everyone wins. The Fightins have a fantastic recap of the kerfuffle.

phillymantis nailed it, gonzo is a douche of the highest order. murphy is a little pretentious, but a good writer.
rich hoffman is prob one of the better dailynews writers, though he’s a bit dry. inquirer hasn’t had anyone of high caliber since the great bill lyon retired….

Sorry I didn’t get back to you now TBL, was eating dinner. I like Phil Sheridan, Paul Domowitch, David Murphy and Ashley Fox from the Philly Inquirer/Daily News and a few from the ‘burbs. The writers around Philly aren’t great.
