David Wright Plays Catch With Some Braves Fans
This video is a short one, but it’s pretty awesome. Earlier this afternoon, David Wright decided to play catch from with several young Braves fans in the stands. I’ve been to a lot of baseball games and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player do this before, but that could be due in part to the fact that most of those games have been at the home of the self-involved Yankees. Nonetheless, very cool move by Wright. [via @AdamRubinESPN]

This happened to me once. Only it wasn’t anyone good like David Wright; it was Matt Stairs. And it wasn’t catch; it was him trying to give me a souvenir baseball. It was out in right field at PNC Park. And he kept short-arming me and throwing it halfway up the fence. So I guess this isn’t like that at all.

He’s just trying to repair his image with kids. They hate him

that’s funny

Matt Stairs was good enough to kill the Dodgers with a homerun in the playoffs 3 years ago.

Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick that Zeppelin cover can’t be legal.

Isn’t that against MLB rules? IIRC that’s in the section covering the ways MLB forces fans to hate the game. I believe the subsection before that one makes it legal for every Yankees and Red Sox game to take 6 hours.

PLSK, I saw that and was sort of horrified. I’m not exactly a Led Zeppelin afficionado but The Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience? Was that the girl from the Pussy Cat Dolls singing? What a disaster

Yea, that’s her Stark. I’m a big fan of every other one of her talents other than the whole singing thing.

there’s zero chance of the Hornets holding on to win this, right?

This is very cool video. I’ve never heard of anything like this, either. Classy move.

Andy Van Slyke did this with some kids right next to us for the Pirates in the early 90′s. I was probably ten or eleven and thought it was so cool.

Lakers are doing EVERYTHING to lose this game.
April 17th, 2011 at 5:59 PM
I’d say the chances are much better than zero percent, TBL

No Van Gundy, you dont have to foul down ten with 55 seconds to go.
April 17th, 2011 at 6:08 PM
Upset city, folks. CP3 doing the damn thing. Lap dances for everybody!!!
April 17th, 2011 at 6:27 PM
CP3 must have been upset everyone dropped him from the top PG list (it was all D Rose, Westbrook & Deron this year) and so he just DESTROYED LA

So by the current trend of these playoffs, the Knicks are a lock at +6 tonight?

I wonder if Odom would have been able to get more than 1 rebound in 31 minutes had he not spent the last 48 hours pimping his reality TV show on Twitter. Chris Paul was amazing; this series could go 7 games if the Lakers bigs play anywhere near that poorly for the remainder of the series. Kobe will need to play much better at the end of close games as well, obviously.
