Aaron Rodgers’ Jersey is Very Popular
NFL Jersey Sales: Troy Polamalu was tops last season. Surprisingly, Aaron Rodgers was 2nd. The best part is that Brett Favre was 1st during the 2009 season, but he plummeted to 14th in 2010. Quarterbacks rounded out the Top 5: Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow. One of those players is not like the Top 5, but that shouldn’t surprise you. Tebow was actually first through November, but everyone else was in the playoffs, and Rodgers’ run to the Super Bowl (where he was named MVP) is probably what got him to 2nd. Mark Sanchez checked in at 12. [USA Today]

Surprising how? The Packers are one of the lead bandwagon teams in the country.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:27 PM
Really? Surprising.

Superbowl MVP? How is this surprising?
Vick above Brady? Now that is surprising.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:28 PM
The hue and cry that will go up if Vick gets the Madden cover will be epic.

It’s the hair.

Giggity
April 14th, 2011 at 1:29 PM
To be fair, 1,000 of those Vick jerseys were purchased by TBL after the site sale.

No way this happens.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:29 PM
Not as epic as if Tiger had won The Masters.
/amiright?

Haha, Eli’s higher than Sanchize!
April 14th, 2011 at 1:30 PM
People have had 10 years to buy Brady Pats jerseys
April 14th, 2011 at 1:32 PM
Every Colts home game I attend where I see someone in a Manning Pro Bowl jersey a part of me dies.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:33 PM
I always wondered who was still buying Favre Packer jerseys since he was still finishing high up even towards the end of his time there
April 14th, 2011 at 1:33 PM
Vick above Brady? Now that is surprising.
Probably used data from before the TV special

#1, this country is overrun by Steelers fans, #2, more than half of Steelers fans are women(Im pretty sure this is a valid stat), #3, the husky ladies love Troy
April 14th, 2011 at 1:36 PM
I’d buy a jersey of every single Vikings player on the roster if they’d just permanently switch to their throwbacks, both home and road.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:36 PM
Big Ben made the superbowl & still not near the list?
/That rape charge will get you everytime
April 14th, 2011 at 1:37 PM
Oh yeah I forgot about that part – ladies like Troy because he’s less rapey than Ben
April 14th, 2011 at 1:38 PM
Probably explains this too
Haha, Eli’s higher than Sanchize!/Allegedly
April 14th, 2011 at 1:39 PM
I’d have to somehow make sure a #3 Wynn jersey gets mixed in
April 14th, 2011 at 1:40 PM
You know these stats only factor in jerseys sold by authorized NFL merchandisers. I’m an example of a person that owns 2 Bears jerseys but didn’t buy them through anyone authorized.
With the internet, not everyone is fiscally irresponsible enough to pay $250 for a jersey anymore.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:40 PM
In about 2 years,Josh Freeman will be a top 10 Stable
/it’s nice to finally have a franchise QB you can semi-brag about
April 14th, 2011 at 1:41 PM
Only buying the authentic & stitched jerseys? I bought two screen printed Peterson jerseys for $50 each, and I was happy
April 14th, 2011 at 1:43 PM
Troy Polamalu was tops last season.
Really? Surprising.
Steelers nation + Head & Shoulders campaign = PROFIT.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:44 PM
You got a good deal, Hawkeye. My Alex Brown screenprint jersey cost $85 and that was in 2009. My replica (shoulder logos aren’t stitched) Hossa sweater cost $195. I was dumb enough to buy that one at the United Center.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:44 PM
Because he’s a terrorist who kicks puppies.
/not confirmed by me
//highly likely tho
April 14th, 2011 at 1:45 PM
People are buying Sanchez jerseys?
/owns Mangold and Harris jerseys
April 14th, 2011 at 1:45 PM
I’d even do that, just for the lulz. I still want a Fuad Reveiz jersey. The only one I’ve been able to find was in size XXXXXL
April 14th, 2011 at 1:46 PM
Don’t forget the part where he is Pro-Cancer
/Florio’d
April 14th, 2011 at 1:46 PM
Think NFLSHop would let me make a Niners Giovanni Carmazzi jersey?
April 14th, 2011 at 1:47 PM
Donald Igwebuike. That’d be a great one to find
April 14th, 2011 at 1:47 PM
weeze/Hawkeye – one of you needs to buy this and walk around with a gavel while wearing it.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:48 PM
I got a Favre authentic 2007 Pro Bowl jersey (prior to his original retirement) from someone on Craigslist for $45. I would never pay more than $75 for an authentic jersey anymore.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:48 PM
You must hate eye tests
April 14th, 2011 at 1:48 PM
Yeah, but it would come to you smelling all goat-y
April 14th, 2011 at 1:48 PM
Without clicking on it, that’s gotta be a Alan Page jersey
April 14th, 2011 at 1:50 PM
Big Ben made the superbowl & still not near the list?

meh……

April 14th, 2011 at 1:50 PM
I also got an authentic Donald Driver jersey from a Marshall’s department store of all places for $50 before last season.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:53 PM
We have a winner!
I would but 88 is such a non-aesthetically pleasing number.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:55 PM
Should only be given to wide-bodied tight ends…sadly Jermaine Wiggins never did
April 14th, 2011 at 1:57 PM
I think I might still have a Curtis Conway Bears jersey that I also found at a Marshall’s. There’s a black Bulls Rodman jersey stowed away somewhere too. That’s when I learned tall, white, lanky dudes don’t look good in basketball jerseys… or white people in general.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:57 PM
Looks pretty good on the best TE in the league.
/TGIFinley
April 14th, 2011 at 1:57 PM
the real crimes that should be investigated are the prices charged for NFL merchandise.
one of the best values you can get for an authentic game jersey is a home baseball jersey w/o a name on it.
April 14th, 2011 at 1:58 PM
Haven’t thought of that name in awhile. Caught the pass that set-up Vinatieri’s winning FG in SB 36.
April 14th, 2011 at 2:00 PM
LOL!!
/it’s true and you stiller fans know it

OFF TOPIC!
April 14th, 2011 at 2:15 PM
Everyone has noticed that Troy Polamalu has been in one of the most pervasive ad campaigns in the country the last couple of years, right?
