Absolutely, however, it’s a much more relevant measure when comparing Green to the names you mentioned. Don’t get me wrong I’m a Green fan.

Carlson and Alzner are definitely impressive and better than Green defensively by any measure. I was responding to Vladdy mostly, and the general dismissive tone people take towards Green’s defense. It’s unfounded.

I never said Green wasn’t good at defense, he is somewhat underrated in that category. I can assure you, I watched enough of his games with the Saskatoon Blades and the Washington Capitals to understand his strengths and deficiencies.

I wouldn’t put Nashville or LA on that list. TB has shown they will support a good team (playoff attendance will be interesting).

Dallas is a decent market, had a rough go this year in terms of attendance, some of which can be blamed on the ownership situation.

eh, I actually don’t really have a problem with hockey, I grew up in Wisconsin and followed the Northstars when I was a kid, but when they took away the team and one of the sweetest sweaters around, it was dead to me. playoff hockey is fun to watch if you are with people that avidly follow a team and know what is going on.
