Terry Bradshaw Has Experienced Some Short-Term Memory Loss; Ping-Pong is Helping Him
1-liner, All, Former Athletes, Ping Pong April 12th. 2011, 2:05pm
Terry Bradshaw: The FOX TV analyst says he has experienced some short term memory loss from his NFL playing days – he said he remembers six concussions – and he recently spent three days at the Amen Clinic seeking help. One of the solutions? Ping-Pong. “I started playing at the ping-pong table now. But you rehab it, and it’s not 100 percent, but certainly I
can stop the decline.” [News Star]

I find this news shocking.

Resisting Forrest Gump comparisons.

only a moron would think god can cure down’s syndrome.

This would make a great movie. Change Bradshaw to Alison Brie, change football to volleyball and ping pong to mud wrestling and you have yourself a deal.

Terry Bradshaw couldn’t spell Flexolite if you spotted him the flex and the lite.

you leave his skullet alone.

In about 5 minutes, somebody is going to link to the gruesome, broken neck looking sack Terry Bradshaw took late in his career.
Quarterbacks used to get hit so hard, and so often. When I started watching football, this was everybody’s favorite player in the league to try and murder.

browns w00t!

I do remember him taking some of the most vicious spearing shots as a kid. And the bastard always got back up.

I’ll link it myself
with a little John Facenda, too.

I would beat terry bradshaw’s ass at ping pong.
April 12th, 2011 at 2:38 PM
I could beat him at air hockey… ping pong is not my forte. Air hockey and darts. Don’t have the coordination for ping pong or the patience for billiards.

I hold the paddle upside down, and it really throws people off. There’s a corner of the table I can’t cover, but people are too busy having their smashes back to get it there. I can hold a table for a good long time.
And I’m good at darts. But I suck, double suck at pool. I aim with the wrong eye.

I’m the opposite. Pretty decent at pool, but am terrible at darts. I haven’t played ping pong recently enough to know whether or not I suck at it.

This does explain his pointless laughter on the pregame show.

No CL posts?

I think the raucous laughter and buddy-buddy atmosphere is a staple of all Sunday morning pre-game shows. That and loud suits.

I used to play in a darts league in Dallas. We got to go to the seediest bars around for our “away” games. There was also a darts tournament league that played every single night. In closing, there’s probably 600 nights I should have been given a DUI/DWI while I lived in Dallas.

HOP

HOP
I finally found out what that means. It stands for “click unfollow button.”
April 12th, 2011 at 2:53 PM
Oh yeah. I lasted a while though. I think it was from October until about February. 5 months of HOP was enough though.
April 12th, 2011 at 2:54 PM
I’m with you on that. I’m usually ok at pool, or really really bad. Now if someone is playing me at darts while I’m drunk, your ass is losing money.

Which bars Dirt? Regal Beagle on Greenville perhaps? Someone got stabbed there last year.

At first I thought they named him Sal. I was disappointed when I looked closer and saw that it was Sai.
April 12th, 2011 at 3:06 PM
Haha! You could just continue to call him Sal. He looks like a Sal.

Try getting buzzed first. No, seriously.
I play my best pool when I’m buzzed. OK at darts and ping pong.

way, way worse than that. We never got anywhere near Greenville. Just outskirts to outskirts. Our first home base was in Euless, and then we switched to whatever town is between Irving and Lewisville (can’t remember). And we went to dives, like bar full of Mexicans dives, or bar full of mustachioed 55 year old men drinking Lone Stars for a dollar dives.

No, i mean I literally aim with the wrong eye. I am right handed, but left eye dominant. If I don’t pull the trigger of a gun with my left hand, I couldn’t hit water from a boat.

I think you’re thinking of Flower Mound. Or possibly Grapevine. That’s pretty hardcore, there’s several places in those areas I wouldn’t go near for any reason at all.

Bradshaw’s memory loss is nothing new. The moron has barely been able to remember his own name for years. Hopefully he will forget who he is and go away.
