Ryan Howard Engaged to Cheerleader: The Phillies’ slugger, who is tied for the Major League lead in RBI with 11, recently got engaged to Eagles’ cheerleader Krystle Campbell. A reader tipped us off to this at the end of March, but we couldn’t confirm it. The reader claims Howard popped the question at an Island near Clearwater, Florida, and had Brian McKnight playing in the background (this jam?) when he got on bended knee. [Philly Burbs]

Two things I’ve realized this morning: working out at 5AM sucks, and Sage Steele is pretty sexy.

Working out at 5AM feels great…..until about 2PM, when your body realizes that you woke up at 5AM and you suddenly become very tired.

I just dont know how you guys do it.. even on the weekend, I have to be awake for at least 2 hours and already eaten breakfast in order to have the energy to exercise. I doubt I would last 10 minutes at 5 AM.

You burn more calories on an empty stomach, but you’re able to work out longer when your body has calories in it with which to convert into energy. Anatomy’s greatest quagmire. Other than those people with both sex organs.

The key is to wake up and not even think about what you’re about to go do, just get in the car and go to the gym. I go to a place that is sort of like crossfit, so once I’m there I have no choice but to bust my ass.

Yeah, that’s why I try to eat just a little bit about an hour before I work out. Not a full meal, but enough that I can get through it.
