One Shining Moment Video, 2011
All, College Basketball, Video April 5th. 2011, 12:10am
One Shining Moment is just about the best thing in sports. It really is. I love it and I’m glad they brought the Luther Vandross version back. Yeah, the UConn-Butler Championship game was dreadful, but so what? The NCAA tournament is the best, most exciting postseason in American sports, and One Shining Moment wraps it up neatly at the end. There probably should have been a little more Derrick Williams, but overall, I was pleased. [Video via @Jose3030]

Well, except for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, Chase for the Cup, Bowl Games, The Triple Crown, The Players Championship, and the Westminster Dog Show.

Agreed. That Jennifer Hudson shit last year was awful.
1. Teddy Pendergrass
2. Luther Vandross

I’ll take NFL, NBA over it for sure.
It’s fun, but juvenile.
April 5th, 2011 at 12:26 AM
3 of those things are correct
April 5th, 2011 at 12:28 AM
I know. Just being a smart ass. Though I’d go with 4.

Well……5 of them.

It was great watching Butler get there these past two years. I feel like they may never get this far again for a long long time.

Congrats to my dad, who won the pool after UCONN beat Kentucky but also had them winning it all. I wish I could talk to him about it.

The chase fucking sucks. Fuck anyone who likes that bullshit
April 5th, 2011 at 2:27 AM
You mean JaJuan Johnson, the guy who had the better year?
April 5th, 2011 at 7:40 AM
That almost cleansed the ugliness of the championship game from my eyes.
April 5th, 2011 at 7:42 AM
Agree it needed more Derrick Williams, and more VCU too.

Sweet, 1/2 of the Final Four was lead by coaches tarnished by NCAA violations.

I’m really loving how much this game offended everyone’s sensibilities.
April 5th, 2011 at 8:53 AM
that was a truly terrible game.
Who thought (I ask because TBL mentioned it last night) that Howard was a pro prospect? I hadn’t heard that anywhere, but I try not to listen to things like that.

I like the special Olympics…It’s like watching a Blue Jays baseball game. Nobody wants to be there but someone said they should care so they politely clap every few innnigs

I’m really loving how much this game offended everyone’s sensibilities.
Jay Bilas and Darren Rovell were the stars of the night, with tweets about how bad it was, like getting the rims repainted at halftime, and shit like that.
The Butler kids seemed a foot shorter across the board, like elementary kids playing against 9th graders (who couldn’t shoot either).

Watching Kirstie Alley get dropped because she’s so fat her partner’s leg gave out was much more entertaining
April 5th, 2011 at 8:57 AM
people are surprised a CBB game was shittily played?
April 5th, 2011 at 9:00 AM
Getting blown out by VCU does not get you on OSM.
April 5th, 2011 at 9:01 AM
I’m surprised by how surprised people are by this. I can’t wait till the Roundup posts and we can all jerk some knees.
April 5th, 2011 at 9:02 AM
meh…i can’t hate today. missed the shit show.
April 5th, 2011 at 11:42 AM
I will never be okay with hating on One Shining Moment. Pendergrass is the song I always finish my running playlists with. You can’t NOT sprint up the hill when you hear “the ball is tipped…”
