This whole going against the establishment for the sake of going the establishment idea is weird.

If anyone is pro-establishment, it’s me. But seriously though, there are some very well founded numbers that back up Paul. All I hear is “well Rose has his team as the number 1 in the East”. Okay, all that tells me is that with him on it, they are number 1 on the East. That doesn’t tell me if he is more valuable than Paul or not.

But when they were good, he won 2 MVP’s. Chris Paul IS Steve Nash (carrying a crappy team to the playoffs), only he doesn’t have Amare. The Hornets are NOT the Suns of a few years ago. MVP’s are not won by players carrying crappy teams. MVP’s are for players on upper echelon teams.

I’m pretty sure it’s closer to “there’s no way he deserves over Dwight/LeBron/Paul” as opposed to “he could win, but he’s not a lock.”

I don’t think he’s a lock by any means. Can make a very strong argument for Dwight, and if the Lakers catch the Spurs and Kobe lights it up in this last stretch, he could take it too. I just don’t see how Rose isn’t every bit as deserving, or how it’s unfathomable that he’s the slight leader at this point.
