UCLA Bruins Poised to Be Michigan West Next Year
UCLA Basketball: The Bruins should be the West Coast version of Michigan next year – young, talented, and scary enough to possibly make a run at the Final Four. Sure, the Bruins were dealt a tough loss when Tyler Honeycutt (3rd leading scorer, 2nd leading rebounder) decided he’ll test the NBA waters. No matter. The Bruins didn’t have a senior on the roster, and in addition adding a Top 75 recruit next year, Ben Howland’s team will add the Wear Twins (who transferred from North Carolina). Between the Twins and husky Josh Smith, the Bruins are going to pound some people inside next season. With Derrick Williams leaving for the NBA and Washington losing three key seniors, expect the Bruins to win the Pac-10. [LA Times]

lol @ michigan hype
watching michigan’s 1-3-1 reminds me of when i used to score grade school girl’s basketball games on the weekends for money in HS.

To continue picking nits, isn’t it going to be the PAC-12 next year or is that the following season?

Never good when a equine is correcting your errors.

Must it always come back to Michigan?

So expect a run all the way to the 2nd round? Don’t go too far out on your limb. You have kin to worry about now.

this’d be a hall of fame ass if not for the ginormous, freaky legs.

Don’t underestimate CU joining though. Tad Boyle already has that team functioning well in his first year. If his success at UNCO was any indicator, that team will continue to improve as he brings in the right pieces.
Not saying they will win it, but they will be good enough to compete for it.

Ben Howland’s kid went to my school when he coached at Pitt. He thought he was the greatest bball player in the school because of his dad. Too bad I beat him out of the last spot in the 8th grade team, and I’m a slow white boy who can’t jump. Small victory for me. He was a fag.

If they were next years Michigan wouldn’t that be a failure? Next year’s Arizona would be a compliment, not next year’s Michigan

About summed up my feelings. UCLA is also getting a pretty good JUCO transfer from San Francisco City College. Good size for a PG. Can’t really shoot, but can get to the rim and does everything else well. UCLA should be fine in the PAC 12 next season.

UCLA is going to be like a Big East team next year – minimal NBA talent, but guys who have hung around for 2+ seasons and have great chemistry…
…Which means they’ll probably crap out in the tournament.

Funny, the football team will be about as good as Michigan’s too.

Uh, yeah…this. The comparison to Michigan makes ZERO sense. Michigan was a worse seed than UCLA THIS YEAR…and advanced just as far in the tournament. How does this comparison make any sense whatsoever?
UCLA will be a top 15 team next year. Michigan wasn’t even remotely a top 15 team this year.
