Devan Dubnyk’s Save Of The Year Candidate
Edmonton’s Devan Dubnyk robbed Olli Jokinen last night. Dubnyk dove across the goal to stop a shot that looked like it was headed to the back of a wide open net. In the end, Calgary beat the Oilers in a shootout, but this save should live on forever through the YouTubes.

I was ocncerned for a couple minutes that the Oilers might actually win this game. Good thing they blew a 4-1 lead and lost in the shootout.

Kipper Stick Save
First try with a link so it might not work. But that’s an incredible stop with the stick. Plus he had to swat it out of there. I think that’s more impressive than Thomas’s save.
Side note: go Flames!

Thomas gets my vote because it came in OT, even though I’m pretty sure the Leafs won in the shootout.

Yeah they did win in a shootout. And I’d agree that, given the circumstances, the Thomas save was bigger. But more impressive I still think it’s Kiprusoff. Oh well. Not like it puts the Flames in the playoffs…sigh.
