Is It Possible To Throw A Hole-In-One 104 Meters?
These guys threw a hole-in-one on a par 3. The group calls themselves, “How Ridiculous” and they usually do basketball trick shots. While I believe they would stand around and keep throwing golf balls until one finally fell in the cup, is it possible to throw a golf ball 103 meters? Some cursory Googling shows people claiming between 60-100 yards and 104 meters is roughly equal to 113 yards. I believe the ball went in the cup, but I don’t believe it was from that distance. So is this real?

These jackwagons are running on the green. That’s worse than spitting on the course.

I don’t think any of these are real. I think these kids are just really good at making videos.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:04 PM
the fuck’s a meter?
March 24th, 2011 at 1:05 PM
Gotta be fake. No way can they throw a ball that far.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:05 PM
Well you don’t technically have to throw it 113 yards in the air, so yes I think it’s possible. Plus, the intro looks like it’s morning and much brighter than it is when they actually do this so I wouldn’t be surprised if they stayed there all fucking day throwing balls at the cup.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:05 PM
no way this is real.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:06 PM
1. nice range ball
2. gay fucking hug/celebration at the end
March 24th, 2011 at 1:06 PM
If you can’t throw a golf ball the length of a football field, that’s a problem.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:06 PM
Got what a 25 yard bounce and roll there? Still skeptical.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:08 PM
Why the hell is the guy in the middle facing the wrong way, and then awkwardly turns around?
March 24th, 2011 at 1:08 PM
Possible but not likely. Spencer my R11 hybrid came yesterday, the set is complete. Now just need the damn weather…
March 24th, 2011 at 1:09 PM
Altered golf ball.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:10 PM

and yea, the weather is gay as shit. i just got my clubs all fixed up too and am DYING to get out. added weight to the putter, 3-wood reshafted, re-gripped, lofts/lies, etc…
March 24th, 2011 at 1:10 PM
There is no way these dorks are throwing a ball that far.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:10 PM
Spencer my R11 hybrid came yesterday
where’s ill?
March 24th, 2011 at 1:11 PM
If I can make it rain on football field 60 yards away then I sure as hell can do it with a golf ball 300 plus feet away. HOT ROUTE HOT ROUTE!
/this the closest thing to athletic achievement on a golf course that has probably ever happened

A smidge less than a week away from first pitch.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:12 PM
Terrible shorts. These guys clearly know nothing about the Fab-Five.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:14 PM
Fuck yes. Can’t fucking wait.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:14 PM
no clue, might be related to a metre.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM
Pin placement is in the front of the green and they’re not throwing from the tips either. Probably closer to 85-90 meters.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM
this seems like fun
March 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM
Who decided FLA/BYU and uconn/sdsu would be the early games? Why would they put butler/wisky in prime time?? Obviously Puke is there because evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveryone loves Puke…

Hi, I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such educational films as “Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly,” and “Here Comes the Metric System!”

Agree on everything, except using meters in your conclusion.

March 24th, 2011 at 1:17 PM
I didnt realize until yesterday that there will be 6 games on opening day. Kind of takes away from the “opening night” game.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:18 PM
It’s even worse the first weekend where they make the Pac 10 team play the 11 a.m. game in Boston.

March 24th, 2011 at 1:20 PM

March 24th, 2011 at 1:21 PM
Fuck the east coast. All current sports champions are midwest or west, fuck the east.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:21 PM
Which is the damn way it should be. Fuck “opening night”.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:21 PM
Broccoli Beef,
The easy answer is because “America” wants a Jimmer/Duke doubleheader, and Duke fans might throw a hissy fit if they miss the first five minutes of the game because they’re still at work.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:21 PM
That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:21 PM
Is this because of our glorious weather, or the sporting events we watch at reasonable hours?

March 24th, 2011 at 1:23 PM
I’ll be watching Brewers-Reds in the office next Thursday. Cubs don’t open til Friday. Really hoping it’s at least 40 degrees out. Prefer not to freeze my nuts off.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:24 PM
it’s oregon. fuck oregon.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:24 PM
Oregon beat Auburn?
He might be from the future where that one is vacated.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:24 PM
Should have said pro sports, lol. But Auburn will probably vacate that title in a few years anyway.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:24 PM
I wouldn’t say fuck the West Coast… but don’t fucking bitch about an 11 AM local start, you Pacific pansies.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:25 PM
Nice geez, nice…
March 24th, 2011 at 1:25 PM
Go Tigers.
There needs to be an * next to that title as the BCS is not a fair means of determining a champion.

I love early sports, I’ll never bitch about being able to watch/listen to sports with my coffee. I couldn’t live on the east coast simply because of sports, it’s a deal breaker.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:26 PM
I know. Just wanted to keep it comparable to the post.

March 24th, 2011 at 1:27 PM
NFL? I love the 10am kickoffs.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:29 PM
When they play the first game on the East Coast, it’s 9 a.m. their time. Their teams could be eliminated before they get their computers on at work.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:30 PM
Ok, that was pretty good.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:32 PM

“Toss the ball, catch it in the cup, dump it out of the cup, toss it, and catch it in the cup again. The ball is on a string and attached to the cup, so there’s no worry if you don’t catch the ball in the cup, and clean-up is as easy as catching a ball in a cup! So why spend another day not catching a ball in a cup when you could be catching a ball in a cup?”

For the record the R-11 hybrid is outstanding.
