NBA Using The Term “Legend” Rather Loosely
All, Goooooood Morning Sports Hernia, NBA March 11th. 2011, 7:45am
Chris Dudley, the former Knick, Net, Blazer and all around heartbreaker appeared on a reader’s television screen the other night along with the words, “NBA Legend.” I took a quick look at the numbers. Career averages of 3.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists per game and a blistering 691-for-1,508 from the free throw line? You bet your sweet ass he’s an NBA legend.

‘Nuff said. Played in New York = LEGEND!

This, of course. If he played for the Pacers, he would have been all-NBA. Because it’s harder to play in New York.
But it’s still not as annoying as when the crowd on Jay Leno gives standing ovations to third-rate actors.

45.82%. Dude must have down a ton of up and downs back in the day. That has to be among the worst ever with at least that many attempts. Even Shaq is above 50%.

But I thought all tall people were good at basketball?

Just looked around and the winner seems to be Ben Wallace. 41% on over 2000 attempts. Remarkable.
