A Borat impersonating streaker invaded the field during a Conference South match between Dorchester Town and Havant and Waterlooville. Dorchester Town player/manager Ashley Vickers, thinking he was doing a good deed, chased the man down and slammed him to the ground. The referee, bizarrely, sent him off for excessive use of force. I didn’t even think a ref could card someone for doing something to someone not involved with the match. This is bizarre.

Being that it is a Conference game, wouldn’t this be the equivalent of the occasional ridiculous brawl or over-the-top umpire arguments you’d see from Independent leagues in baseball?
