LeBron & Wade: “Look Away, I’m Hideous”
All, Goooooood Morning Sports Hernia, LeBron James, NBA March 7th. 2011, 7:40am
When your “big three” is shooting 5% when trailing by three or fewer in game ending situations, covering your face and counting to ten so everyone has a chance to hide isn’t a bad thought, it’s just a shame no one’s hiding. [via _BW]

I remember when the artists formerly known as LeBron fans on here used to say LeBron was the best closer in the league, and acted as if a last second shot in GAME 2 of a playoff series was the greatest shot in the history of basketball. Watching the fans turn reminds me of when I used to watch wrestling back in the day.

but hey, LeBron shot 10-18 yesterday, while Kobe shot under 50%!!!
efficiency!!!!

I’ve gotten stitches 6 times in my life. Getting the shot is by far the worst part for me.

im not sure what you’re trying to argue here.

Part of getting old, playa. Next, your knee will start aching when it rains.
March 7th, 2011 at 8:46 AM
yeah, figured that was coming. what sucks about hoops is since i’ve gotten a bit bigger, I no longer get assigned to defend guards on the perimeter. people actually think i can hang with some of the more rugged players inside. so I’m now battling for rebounds and loose balls and elbow are flying … not fun. It’s really CRM-land and it’s no place for a jump-shooting kid like myself.
i didn’t mind being switched off defending guards initially – they run around tirelessly and my cardio wasn’t up to snuff and i just got gassed. plus, the guards are usually guys 5-10 years younger than me. damn, getting old sucks

There is no argument. This obviously shows the value of the shooting percentage stat.
March 7th, 2011 at 8:52 AM
i mean, i get being anti-stat and everything but this just seems like burying your head in the sand.
March 7th, 2011 at 9:07 AM
I’m not anti stat, I’m pro game. There is alot more that goes into being a fan than knowing and regurgitating the newest stat. Using a player’s shooting percentage as a stand alone measurment on their worth as a player is a poor argument.
