golf is so much more difficult to win than tennis and the matchplay proves it. the last entrant, jb holmes, got pushed into tim clark’s old slot and is taking on villegas and is already up 2 after 3 holes. would a last minute entry have a chance at knocking out a solid pro in a tennis tourney?

Beside the point, but people who play tennis with any sort of competitiveness kind of freak me out. This originated in high school when all the guys who played Little League signed up for baseball but only lasted a few days because they sucked so bad. So, they switched over to tennis and spent their days playing tiddlywinks and practicing their backhands.

dude, sergio was just as care free early on, he wasn’t tight at all, especially not when he burst onto the scene in 1999.

im just saying, when mcilroy tells the press he “forgot how many cars he has” it’s not a good sign. nor is it when he says he’s moving home to be closer to his GF and then immediately breaks up with her. didn’t like his ryder cup comments, don’t like the fact he’s the same player he was when he burst onto tour and it’s that “care-free” attitude that makes me think he’ll never take golf seriously.

Do not disagree with you at all. Followed him at Muirfield last year and witnessed some prodigious play, including being within earshot of him defying his caddy’s warning by sticking a 5 iron from the left rough behind a tree to within 10 feet.
