Chris Bosh Handles Raptors With Ease
All, Goooooood Morning Sports Hernia, Kind of Gay, NBA February 17th. 2011, 7:45am
Chris Bosh returned to his old stomping grounds in Toronto last night with a level head and firm grip on things, finishing with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Upon the game’s conclusion, he blew kisses to the crowd like a seasoned wrestling heel, though I probably would have done the same thing if they were calling me Catwoman. [Photo via twitpic]

Nice

I think he handled that pretty well. However, Bosh, like a lot of NBA players, doesn’t seem to grasp the concept that most fans cheer for the team more than individual players. The loyalty is to the laundry, not the man.

This is true. But I also see what you did there.

This is false. There is a reason you see NBA games advertised on television based on players, and college games advertised based on teams.

He’s drinking imaginary Cammy Cam juice, right?

When said player who left for an assload of money to play somewhere else returns home, 99% of the time he’s going to get booed and should expect it. Bosh’s quote of “If people don’t support you now, they never supported you at any time” is overly dramatic, misinformed and stupid. He clearly doesn’t get it.

So I don’t root for the Knicks?

And TSH… I’m putting you on a private charter to Vegas. CRM needs a makeover. Stat.

Nah. You only root for the players who know how to Dougie.

You are missing the point. The majority of paying fans in the building are there to cheer for a team, not an individual player. TV audiences are a different story.

Hey, I’m a sucker for a good Harlem Shake, too.

“What does dumb fuck mean?”

ok, I see your point there. Still, I’d say fans don’t automatically boo either. Garnett wasn’t booed when he went back to Minnesota. Amare wasn’t booed when he went back to Phoenix. To this day, Grant Hill returns to Detroit and receives love. In spite of all of the mess in DC, Arenas was cheered when he returned to DC. Bosh’s point is legit.
