Stephen A. Smith returns to ESPN
Stephen A. Smith: He’s back in the saddle at ESPN. He’ll be hosting a radio show on 1050 ESPN radio in NYC, and writing on ESPNNY.com. We broke the news in April of 2009 that Smith’s contract at ESPN’s wasn’t renewed, and in the last 20+ months, he’s bounced around to Fox Radio, Fox Sports and the Philly Inquirer, plus been a pundit on MSNBC and CNN. He gave this memorable interview in which he talked about why his newspaper work suffered: “When I walk the street or go to different places, my popularity speaks for itself. It interferes with the newspaper work.” Smith will replace Bonnie Bernstein on the radio. [ESPN Media Zone]

Bonnie Bernstein had a radio show? Ratings must have been horrid if they had to bring on Screaming A.

I am so confused by all of this. I’d tap Bonnie Bernstein though. I still wonder what happened with her and the Michael Kay show.

February 2nd, 2011 at 12:09 PM
Moderation. Stunning. Must have been my use of the word “comers”.
February 2nd, 2011 at 12:10 PM
During the summer, she left the Kay show and started a radio show that followed right after his. Now, she’s not on it. It made me sad for like a day.
February 2nd, 2011 at 12:11 PM
Take your perverse rantings elsewhere sleazebag.

I know Rex, I’ve implemented custom input filtering and its a naughty word list and a Regex matcher. Its pretty easy to know what sets it off.
Whichever one got caught, but they’re all criminals.

I remember hearing Bonnie on a DC radio show a few years ago where she implied she liked the ladies as well as the men. Who wins? All of us.
