Sidney Crosby Will Miss All-Star Weekend Due to a Concussion
Sidney Crosby: The Penguins’ star – either the most popular player in the NHL, or the second most popular – will miss All-Star weekend while he recovers from a concussion. He won’t even be attending the All-Star weekend festivities in Carolina. Here’s the team’s official statement. [AP]

He and Malkin (also not playing) are better served not going. Pens are losing ground to the Flyers in the Atlantic.

Reports are that Crosby’s recovery isn’t progressing well, could be that he isn’t ready to return immediately after the all star break.

I’m hearing from sources Crosby is out because he has sand in his vagina.

SC, how’d you like that goal on Sunday that Carter batted out of the air? Good stuff.

The NHL skills competition was always fun to watch. I remember Al MacInnis hitting a puck 102 mph when I was a kick and thinking that was the coolest shit ever.

Haha, this post was given 9 minutes on its own

I used to love watching this when I was a kid. I remember MacInnis and Al Iafrate with the fucking rocket shots!

$10 says TBL prints this post out and wipes his ass with it.

I think Al Iafrate still holds the record at 105+ mph.

I suggest he stop talking lest Matt Cooke do something stupid again. Sucks that he’s out, don’t like that but he needs to shut his yap.
Last thing I saw was the Hossa penalty shot. We turned on the Bears pregame after that. Flyers are really good. Happy we won’t see them again unless it’s in the Finals.

The Flyers are scary good. Thanks for dropping points to the Devils!

Ugh, I attended this debacle. I even took my 4 year old, who was bored to tears, because the Devils have reverted to their 1996 ways.

You’re way off base on this. Garland had it correct last week when he mentioned Lemieux calling the clutch and grab days “a garage league”. It’s going to take the higher profile players making a stand for things to change.

He’s complaining that guys are headhunting yet some guy on his own team delivered the most lethal blow since Bertuzzi last year. He should just heal up and let his play do the talking like it was before the WC.

Also, can I say that Mike Milbury makes my ears bleed? He’s the Canadian Matt Millen.
And that I would like Pierre McGuire to stop breathing my oxygen. Just stop it, NBC.
On the other hand, I still greatly enjoy Doc Emrick calling games.

He publicly stated that the hit was illegal and shouldn’t be in the game. He’s also the Penguins captain and has to be careful calling out teammates to the media.

Fixed. Forgot, in my anger, that Milbury is US born.

Milbury is great on CBC’s Hot Stove, I’m laying the blame on his NBC annoyance right at Pierre’s feet.

I cannot find one redeeming thing to say about Pierre.
Where’s Darren Pang? Can we get him on these NBC broadcasts?

I cannot find one redeeming thing to say about Pierre.
Pierre ruins TSN broadcast for me, I have to mute the TV when he’s doing the game, which is a shame because I like Gord Miller. Ray Ferraro does the between the bench thing way better.
Pang is doing color commentary for the Blues this year and is a part timer on TSN’s intermission panel.

Canada stole him. They lent us Pierre as a replacement. Worst trade since Kessel.
