Ron Franklin Sues ESPN
Ron Franklin Sues ESPN – The former announcer is suing ESPN for wrongful termination. “This case is about Ron Franklin’s contracts with ABC and ESPN. We hope that ABC and ESPN will honor their commitments to Ron Franklin. If they choose to continue breaching their contracts, this case will be tried in a courtroom in Austin, Texas, not the media.” Also on trial? A man’s right to use the term “sweet baby” towards a coworker in the office. [USA Today]

It was The Michael Kay show. But it wasn’t him. It was Don La Greca. Some dude called him talking about him constantly disrespecting the Jets and Don just went FUCKING OFF.

@Weapon X: Bane? Really? I like the Anne Hathaway casting, but Bane?!? Did Christopher Nolan fucking SEE Batman & Robin?
Where’s Hugo Strange?
January 19th, 2011 at 4:02 PM
If he was written up after the first incident, I dont see how he has a case. If he already got a warning, perhaps he should have avoided talking to women coworkers. if he couldnt help but patronize them.

I thought that one was thrown out by the judge due to its preposterous nature.

michael kay should be shot to death in public.

Subject heading of an e-mail I just got from BTN. If those are the good games, what are the crappy ones?
January 19th, 2011 at 4:03 PM
I had the same initial reaction, but on the other hand wouldn’t it be pretty sweet if they were able to do the Bane character justice? I think Bane can fit in Nolan’s realistic Gotham setting and they can hopefully make everyone forget about that Batman and Robin abortion.

But how? In the comics, Bane is a giant roided-up super criminal.

Any man that wrangles a first class piece of ass like his soon to be wife deserves the right to live.

Completely lame villains. I swear to God that I’ll lose it if I hear one more “My plan is purrrrrrrrrrrfect!” from some cat chick.

Franklin seems too close to retirement and should probably save the money he’s going to piss away on legal fees on what is, really, a losing battle.
January 19th, 2011 at 4:08 PM
I don’t have to witness it, as long as it’s done.
January 19th, 2011 at 4:09 PM
i heard michael kay wrangled dick on the dusty plains of oklahoma while shooting indians.
what an asshole. we should send the original texas rangers after him.

Bane was cool in Arkham Asylum. It’ll be alright. Hugo Strange is in the sequel to Arkham Asylum, which looks like the best game ever from the trailer but it’s still about a year away from release
January 19th, 2011 at 4:09 PM
This. I’ll trust Nolan.
January 19th, 2011 at 4:10 PM
I mean, he’s not going to fit the comics to a tee, but Hardy looks like he could get pretty big for this role. Don’t get me wrong, I’m skeptical this third installment will come close to topping the Dark Knight, but I’m a huge fan of Nolan’s take on Batman and I’ll hold out hope he can make this work.

Hardy was pretty big in Bronson. I would expect something like that.

ha. fair enough.

Ron figures that he has absolutely zero chance of ever finding another gig on TV that he might as well go down in flames, all while trying to get some cash money out of it.
