Greg Oden Update: Old Man Winter Looks Enthralled
All, Goooooood Morning Sports Hernia, NBA January 19th. 2011, 7:45am
Well this is just depressing. Oft-injured Portland Trailblazers center Greg Oden has dealt with an abundance of brutal, disappointing setbacks in his short NBA career, and this lonely picture has managed to capture the infinite sadness in one single shot. It’s nice to see he’s there to support the team while he deals with yet another injury, but he looks like he should be handing out Werther’s Originals and tussling the hair of his teammates. Get well soon again, big fella.

I watched him, Mike Conley, Eric Gordon and Josh McRoberts go at it in high school just a few years ago. He was a fucking beast. Too bad he never got a chance.

Nice looking cane. I think that’s from the Ray Charles Collection

He’s made millions for what he potentially could have accomplished, not what he accomplished. Forgive me if I’m not as sympathetic to his misfortune.

Total tragedy of what is becoming of him and Brandon Roy.

I’m waiting for Oden to start using the cane to trip opponents who get too close to the Blazers bench, a la Mr. Fuji circa 1990 WWF.

Injuries are different than just flat out flopping. It wouldn’t surprise me if he tried to come back again.
On another note, watching the JETS suck Roethlisberger off on Sportscenter is a joke.

Wasn’t it the Slickster who had the pimp cane?

Slick had a pimp stick when he first debuted, but they eventually phased that out of his outfit.
