  I seriously can’t believe the furor from the camera kid’s death went away so fast. I thought Kelly’s job was in jeopardy (not that it really should have been). Just thought there’d be more of a groundswell demanding his firing, especially after Tressel actions that same week.

  Either way, that’s still pretty awful police work. Notre Dame has not clothed itself in glory between this incident and the kid who was filming practice in a lift in high winds.

  The camera filming death was bad, especially Swarbrick’s press conference (notice he hasn’t made any live public statements or PC’s since then?).

  HOWEVA, this Seeburg story is a joke. This is a girl who had been diagnosed with extreme depression problems, was prescribed with an anti-depressant, drank beer while on said anti-depressant, accused a student of “touching her breasts” (while she was on top of him(!)….sounds really ‘forced upon her’…), and Notre Dame is getting killed in the media? I don’t get it.

  ND is a school that is widely known to severely overreact to misconduct by it’s student athletes (4 players kicked out for accusations of rape, 3 of whom got charges dropped; one player kicked out of school for streaking, player kicked off team for DUI in a golf cart on campus).
