Tucker Carlson Didn’t Really Think Mike Vick Should Be Executed
Turcker Carlson has retracted his statement that Michael Vick should have been executed for what he did to dogs. He presumably retracted his statement while wearing a stupid bow tie.
“This is what happens when you get too emotional,” Carlson told Fox’s Sean Hannity. “I’m a dog lover, I love them and…I know a lot about what Michael Vick did…I overspoke. I’m uncomfortable with the death penalty under any circumstances. Of course I don’t think he should be executed, but I do think that what he did is truly appalling.”
Just a casual slip of the tongue. He’s uncomfortable with the death penalty under any circumstance. Even that one circumstance that caused him to say that he was cool with the death penalty.

Not sure who is worse, bowtie bozo or Hannity.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:19 PM
Ten times out of ten, Nicky, Vinnie, and Tony beat the shit out of Kyle, Tucker, and Todd.
/RIP
January 5th, 2011 at 3:20 PM
but I do thyink that what he did is truly appalling
Did he really say it like that?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:22 PM
Turcker Carlson has retracted his statement
Trucker Carlson? Isaac Hayes was great in that movie
January 5th, 2011 at 3:22 PM
I mean, anyone who thought a sensational asshole who wears a bow-tie in Fox News really meant an off the wall remark like that, I’ve got this great work at home business opportunity to you. You PayPal me $500 to get started.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:26 PM
Wait a second, you mean this transparently-desperate-for-attention guy said some wild out of nowhere thing about something topical, and he retracted his statement right as everyone stopped talking about it? I’m skeptical…
January 5th, 2011 at 3:27 PM
How does Tucker Carlson feel about Peyton Manning’s offensive line? If you ask me it’s like a turnstyle, especially at on the right side. Frankly, I don’t like their chances this week even though the Colts are clearly a better team than rest of the AFC field.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:28 PM
i like dogs too!
January 5th, 2011 at 3:30 PM
Look guys, if you knew as much about what Vick did as Tucker Carlson, you’d be momentarily easy with the death penalty, too, before you got your bearings a week or so later. It just makes sense
January 5th, 2011 at 3:30 PM
I’m going to kill you.
Oh, you’re going to kill me now?
No I’m not, just kidding.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:31 PM
CJ is probably a huge Tucker fan now
January 5th, 2011 at 3:32 PM
+1
All of these guys can get fucked. It’s not because they are republicans that I don’t like them. It’s because they are fucking idiots that scream louder than the next guy so the sheep will follow.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:33 PM
Vick funded a dog fighting ring. He wasn’t the one who went out and put dogs on rape stands or electrocuted dogs. So really, Tucker should want to execute all of Vick’s buddies, not Vick.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:34 PM
Time to Die, Vick!
January 5th, 2011 at 3:34 PM
Ahh, the Nuremberg defense.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:35 PM
I’m a Vick fan, but he did admit to doing such things.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:35 PM
Off-topic: LAWL.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:35 PM
This. The whole situation was horrid. I love animals probably as much as SG does, but the guy didn’t deserve to die for it. For a country that loves redemption stories and second chances, we sure told this guy to fuck himself.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
Nah, I’m gonna buy a shitload of clues.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
SG, I thought he was present when at least one dog was killed?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
Ahh, the Nuremberg defense.
It worked before right?
What’s that you say?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:36 PM
I don’t that’s true, at least according to my recollection of the court docs.
I believe something along the lines of “on month, day Vick and Phillips went to whatever that place was called and killed x dogs by drowning, electrocution and in at least one case, bashing the dog against the ground repeatedly.”
January 5th, 2011 at 3:37 PM
This……
/Thinks both MSNBC and Fox News suck ass.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:37 PM
I really hated typing that. I should have just looked it up and pasted it.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:38 PM
Vick funded a dog fighting ring. He wasn’t the one who went out and put dogs on rape stands or electrocuted dogs.
I’m guessing he knew what was going on.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:39 PM
I hear you. I’m a big believer in having an opportunity to redeem yourself from past mistakes–even HUGE ones like this, but as I read your comment, I felt myself getting apoplectic
January 5th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
This could be copied from the affidavit, because I’m sure this is correct. The guy admitted to hanging dogs….regardless, the dude did his time, now he’s an MVP candidate and it’s funner to watch Vick now more than ever.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
I’m not defending Vick, I’m just pointing out Tucker’s mistake.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
Yeah Im not a big fan of the death penalty either. So no. I’m a believer in 2nd chances. Vick served his time. I’m also a sports fan who chooses not to root for certain people based on some things they have done. That’s my right.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
V4L thinks sportsdork should be executed
January 5th, 2011 at 3:40 PM
I love Michael Vick.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:41 PM
I need an ESPN channel that does these types of news reports ASAFP.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:41 PM
Tucker repledges his alliance to the human race and it’s leaders.
/Trent Brockman’d
January 5th, 2011 at 3:41 PM
I think Marcus Vick should be executed for his crimes against quarterbacking
January 5th, 2011 at 3:41 PM
Tucker Carlson is a buttpirate. Not only is his bowtie absurd, but his hair looks like it belongs on an 8-year-old boy.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:42 PM
Is that the same as the Code Red defense?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:42 PM
This sums it up. To me at least, Josh Hamilton is a redemption story I can get behind. Vick, not so much.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:43 PM
Queer
January 5th, 2011 at 3:43 PM
Right. Josh only physically hurt himself.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:43 PM
Well then. Guess I should have googled it. I didn’t think he killed any dogs. I tried to stay away from hearing the details of the case bescause I didn’t want to be sad.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:43 PM
No, just being a douche is reason enough
/I’M KIDDING!!!!!!!!!
//I’m no Tucker Carlson
///I like his hair though
January 5th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
Hey, sportsgal, just in case…don’t ever commit a felony with one of your friends because if somebody dies, you’re going to get arrested for murder, even if you didn’t pull the trigger.
/ loose connection
/ sportsgal may like the robberies. Who knows.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
It’s been a wild year for a lot of reasons. One of them is enjoying the cringe in Philadelphia every time Vick tweets or comments to the press and his family or old friends.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
Not sure, since the defense was used by those lower in command and Vick was clearly Colonel Jessup in the dog ring. He didn’t want the Pit Bull’s transferred off the farm, he wanted them trained.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:44 PM
USA vs Sweden scoreless early
/no one cares
//go USA
January 5th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
What the fuck? Micheal Vick personally tortured and killed the dogs, like sportsdork said.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
Dude. It’s been 5 minutes already. I’m anxious to get started. Let’s fucking go already.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
Yeah. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to feel that Vick has the right to play football and not feel guilty about watching him while at the same time not quite feeling the way Hernia feels about him.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
George Carlin . . . fucking genius.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:45 PM
Junkies are a shitload more detrimental to society than dog fighters, imho.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:46 PM
lolz.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:46 PM
Can we also then execute Trent Dilfer?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:47 PM
Hey don’t forget every time mesean opens his mouth
January 5th, 2011 at 3:47 PM
Well, this could be a fun conversation.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:47 PM
One of my staff members gave me a bag of Dill Pickle flavored sunflower seeds for belated Xmas present.
/Brown-noser
//But I love them–THANKS!
January 5th, 2011 at 3:48 PM
If you ever need someone to brandish a pistol in a McDonald’s parking lot, there’s no finer candidate than one Marcus Vick.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
Can we also then execute Trent Dilfer?
Absolutely. Bill Polian flips the switch and The Viper has to watch. Eyes wide open A Clockwork Orange-style, just to be sure
January 5th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
This guy, knows how to pull off a bowtie
January 5th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
I love them both, but the differences between him and Maclin are perfect. That being said, most of the time I think DeSean is just in character. Maclin is clearly a smart, soft spoken guy though.
/throws bone to TST
January 5th, 2011 at 3:49 PM
Not sure? Would you say you can’t, uh, handle the truth?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:50 PM
Junkies are a shitload more detrimental to society than dog fighters, imho.
probably accurate, not sure its relevant to the conversation, which is entirely based on who I judge more harshly from my high horse overlooking my moral slipperly slope. Which would be the guy who tortured and killed animals over a period of years for fun.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:50 PM
I’ve been monitoring BCS tix on ebay. One about to end. One ticket, upper-deck, $2,995 with 30 minutes left until auction ends.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:51 PM
Doing lines of blow at a dog fight could be some pretty intense shit.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
I think we’re all jumping the gun on this conversation. If Vick doesn’t win MVP he sucks, anyway, and then we don’t have to worry about it
January 5th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
I like where Tucker Carlson gets owned .
January 5th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
You know… but I bet if you tried hard enough, you could come up with an empirical measure for this type of thing.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:52 PM
Interesting use of commas starkweather…
January 5th, 2011 at 3:53 PM
I think maybe we can agree that vegan PETA members, although likely completely unlikeable people, at least have some consistency to their moral outrage.
/loves steak
//recognizes my cow screamed while it died for me
January 5th, 2011 at 3:55 PM
You know… but I bet if you tried hard enough, you could come up with an empirical measure for this type of thing.
What would be the point. You would just shit all over it and say it’s not as good as actually seeing the dogs fight.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:56 PM
I prefer to think that he never saw it coming, because that’s more cold blooded. He’s just hanging out, eating some grass, then BOOM throat cut by farmer ninja.
January 5th, 2011 at 3:57 PM
think maybe we can agree that vegan PETA members, although likely completely unlikeable people, at least have some consistency to their moral outrage.
Same reason I respected Jerry Falwell’s intellectually consistent with his stand on intoxicants.
/still didn’t really respect Jerry Falwell for other reasons.
//meat is great
///the modern factory farm is a dystopian nightmare
////American’s eat way to much of it destroying our planet and food supply
/////I read that in a pamplet
January 5th, 2011 at 3:59 PM
Having spent a decent amount of time around cows I’m pretty sure they never see anything coming. If we’re gonna compare dogs and a mass produced for deliciousness farm animal the pig would be better.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:00 PM
Preach Shoshon! Preach!
/wishes I was in church rather than at work
//blends nicely with the Jerry Falwell reference too
January 5th, 2011 at 4:01 PM
Don’t know about this, but if you twice get accused of sexual assault, the consolation prize is that you can get engaged to a hot 24 year old.
/this chick must be a rocket scientist to marry Roethlisberger.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:01 PM
I think maybe we can agree that vegan PETA members, although likely completely unlikeable people, at least have some consistency to their moral outrage.
Yeah like comparing slaughterhouses to Nazi Concentration Camps. Or sending a letter to Arafat when a donkey died in a terrorist bombing. These are some fucked up people. Consistent in their outrage, but fucked up.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:01 PM
Any realistic chance Vick actually gets enough “sick of Brady/Patriots” votes to win the MVP?
/Don’t see it happening
January 5th, 2011 at 4:02 PM
Having spent a decent amount of time around cows I’m pretty sure they never see anything coming. If we’re gonna compare dogs and a mass produced for deliciousness farm animal the pig would be better.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:02 PM
Is this accurate because I was under the impression he was hands on as well?
January 5th, 2011 at 4:03 PM
Just watched Food Inc, last night TST. Don’t agree with everything they said, but holy shit, some of that was eye-opening.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:04 PM
So if you fuck them on the cliff do they really push back? Or is that sheep?
January 5th, 2011 at 4:04 PM
Wait, shoshon is TST?
/Fuck, I can’t keep up with the name change merry-go-round
January 5th, 2011 at 4:04 PM
Worry not Vick haters, Clay Matthews & Friends will bring justice to the NFL world come Sunday…I don’t think he’s been moving around that well of late and seems to be wearing down, time for the boys to finish the job
January 5th, 2011 at 4:06 PM
I’ll take your word for it and adjust my future statements my wife rolls her eyes at.
/she’s making us join a CSA though
January 5th, 2011 at 4:07 PM
A ton of pioneering organ transplant research is done in dogs… and those are all terminal and painful experiments. Pretty awful stuff to see/be around/hear.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:07 PM
I heard those were great sdork.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:09 PM
Yeah, I’m sure I’ll be happy in the end. I do have to figure out how to store a lot of food, though.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:09 PM
Actually, this caught my eye too. So really, women are running things at home? Is this with most marrieds?
/or cohabitators?
January 5th, 2011 at 4:09 PM
Is this accurate because I was under the impression he was hands on as well?
Compared to the dog fighting circles I’ve worked for, he seemed like a micromanaging asshole to me
January 5th, 2011 at 4:12 PM
Actually, this caught my eye too. So really, women are running things at home? Is this with most marrieds?
I’m “allowed” to eat meat. I’m also “allowed” to watch pigs be slaughtered and terrifying chicken coop videos.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:12 PM
Ha. When I choose to disagree about something she wants to do it’s about something I find more dangerous than “buying a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers”.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:13 PM
Touche dork.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:17 PM
Actually, this caught my eye too. So really, women are running things at home? Is this with most marrieds?
When my fiancee went to a tarot card reader recently (she’s nuts for that sort of thing), her representation card was ‘the emperor’ while mine was ‘the empress’. I haven’t heard the end of it yet.
But I still get to watch football all day Saturday and Sunday goddammit.
[pride=intact]
January 5th, 2011 at 4:18 PM
I believe something along the lines of “on month, day Vick and Phillips went to whatever that place was called and killed x dogs by drowning, electrocution and in at least one case, bashing the dog against the ground repeatedly.”
Raising a dog strictly for fighting and raising a cow to sustain life are two completely different things.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:19 PM
How is that even possible?
/I kid, I kid
//good story though
January 5th, 2011 at 4:20 PM
I think an easy comeback would be “hey you go to tarot card readings”
January 5th, 2011 at 5:05 PM
VICK is a DICK.He DID kill dogs.
He DID put the dogs on rape stands, etc.
Even if he had not (which he did), but had he not, he KNEW which makes him as guilty, if not more so!
Unlike Tucker, I am not afraid of the truth! I DO believe he should have been executed. But first, he should have been raped several times over, then electrocuted.
So, did VICK or the EAGLES pay off Tucker Carlson also?
Just checkin’
January 5th, 2011 at 5:14 PM
Carlson is a gutless liar. Man up you FoxNews pussy. You said it, now own it cunt boy.
