Ohio State May Be Without Terrelle Pryor and Others Because Of Alleged Free Tattoos
Didn’t think I would end up writing multiple posts about tattoos today, but here I am telling you how the Ohio State University may be without some key players for the Sugar Bowl because they might have recieved some free tattoos in exchange for autograph’s at Columbus tattoo parlor, Fine Line Ink.
From FOX 28:
Sources tell ABC6/FOX28 News that Ohio State officials are meeting for a second straight day to consider compliance issues involving high-profile players on the football team.
The issues could impact the players’ participation in the Sugar Bowl.
According to SPORTSbyBROOKS, the players involved in the ink for ink scandal are Terrelle Pryor, Dan Herron, DeVier Posey, Chris Fields, Nate Oliver, Travis Howard, Mike Adams, Jonathan Newsome, Michael Brewster and Jordan Hall. Ohio State plays Arkansas on January 4th.

Can we get a pervasive header for the TBL Bowl Pick ‘em? I have a feeling this will adversely effect my run for the title…but I can’t be entirely sure because I am too lazy to find the link.

Didn’t the Soviet hockey team win like a billion games in a row? That’s more impressive. Hell the 1980 Miracle on Ice team winning however many games in a row is more impressive. (or I guess not losing since they tied Sweden)

———————————————–
So what did Cam Newton do? Oh, I know what he was ACCUSED of doing, but after all of the accusations were investigated by the SEC, by the NCAA, by Auburn and by Florida, what did they find that he had done wrong?
Again, no rumors; give me something factual. And don’t say “He stole a laptop.” When all was said and done, those charges were dropped, because the reality was that he bought a stolen laptop. And don’t say “He cheated at Florida,” because those accusations were denied by a Florida spokesman, by two people on the committee that would have heard those charges, by the NCJAA (who wouldn’t have allowed him to enroll in junior college unless he was eligible at Florida), by Blinn Junior College, and by the NCAA. And don’t say his father took money; while he obviously discussed money with Mississippi St., all investigations revealed that he never talked money with Auburn, and more importantly, NO money changed hands.
So tell me– what did Cam Newton DO?
December 22nd, 2010 at 10:53 PM
Oh, you’re a riot, you are, haha. Good stuff. So naive.
December 22nd, 2010 at 11:45 PM
Oh I get it…you’re the same guy who was posting “What did Reggie Bush do?” about 5 years ago. Please, wake the fuck up.

=========================================
OK, I get it: he did NOTHING. Because I asked for a list, and all the two of you came up with were half-assed insults.
You want to know one big difference between the Reggie Bush case and he Cam Newton case? And no, not the one you usually hear about “In one, there were actually benefits paid.” No, I’ve got another one, and hear it is:
The NCAA punished Bush et al AFTER they investigated him.
The NCAA cleared Newton AFTER they investigated him.
See the difference? Two cases, two investigations, two DIFFERENT results. Until the investigations were done, all anyone had were rumors. THEN they finished the investigations, and we were given some facts. And according to the FACTS uncovered and released by the NCAA, CAM NEWTON DID NOTHING WRONG.
And you have the nerve to call someone else naive…

RANF: Just admit you’re a homer.
1) Florida cannot comment on his academic eligibility due to the FERPA law (google it). He withdrew before he was declared academically ineligible.
2) Whether he stole the laptop or purchased a stolen laptop, being in possession of stolen property is illegal (read the Florida State Criminal Code.
3) Are you really trying to convince us that a JC wouldn’t accept a student that wasn’t academically eligible at a four-year school? Please tell me you’re not.
4) Blinn and the NCAA don’t have a relationship so they would not convene to decide an athlete’s eligibility. Blinn will take any player with a decent game willing to represent their school.
5) Cam has not been cleared by the NCAA. He’s been declared eligible (for now). Nothing has been closed. Nothing.
6) So Cam’s dad obviously discussed money with MSU but never with AU? That’s why there’s the voicemail of Cam calling the MSU coach and saying he can’t go to MSU because they money is too good at Auburn? I don’t mind you defending your guy. He’s a great player. I just ask that you stop pretending he’s an angel and admit that you’re a homer. Neither you nor Cam are the person you pretend to be. You’re a zealot and he’s opportunistic.
