Cavs’ Assistant Tells LeBron to “Shut the F*** Up”
LeBron slaughtered his former team in his return to Cleveland, scoring 38 points in a 118-90 Heat victory. Cleveland fans booed LeBron lustily in the first half – when the game was relatively close – but were actually pretty well-behaved throughout (nothing was thrown on the floor, no fans rushed the court, etc). Late in the 2nd quarter, LeBron was talking with members of the Cavs bench, and when one Cleveland assistant clearly tells him, “shut the fuck up.” After the jump, video of Mo Williams giving LeBron the cold shoulder after halftime.

How many times do you figure the phrase “Shut the fuck up” is uttered during your normal NBA game? I say at least a dozen.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:58 PM
I don’t hate LeBron, but I like this.

I think you’re overestimating the size of an nba player’s vocabulary. 12 per player is more like it

Can’t wait for the NBA experts to tell me that this was the “End of the Hate LeBron” campaign and how we should just get the f–k over it.

college basketball refs are terrible. Each way this game has been an absolute embarrassment.

December 2nd, 2010 at 11:34 PM
He told him to shut up, but he did not do it out of anger or because he was trying to go after LeBron or because he wanted to put on a show in order to get high 5s from everyone.
LeBron was around the bench talking, the assistant found it distracting because he was trying to concentrate on the game and told him to be quiet so he can follow what is going on. In other words nothing happened worth mentioning.
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:35 PM
Well he probably is kind of sensitive about it considering that he had one of the most gruesome injuries in sports history.

For all of you centsports/gamblers – lines just came out for the UFC Ultimate Fighter finale on Saturday. Take a look at the Leonard Garcia/Nam Phan line. The “Bad Boy” (Garcia) should be a MUCH larger favorite than -150. I’d predict a 1st or 2nd round KO. My $ is already in.

Roeth, my site still doesn’t have the Johnson-Brooking (sp) finale line? Do you have the line. I assume Brooking would be a pretty big favorite
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:49 PM
If Zona can still cover their -6, I will be very, very happy.
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:50 PM
Bueller – Brookins was -250. I think he’ll win, but I don’t see much value in taking him at this point. I’m hoping some $ comes in on Johnson. If it drops to -200 or so I’ll consider it.

Dirt: I’m not sure on that. I think Sirius paid him like $100-$120M/year for 5 years. Out of that, he had to pay the costs to run the 100&101 stations. Might be a similarly structured deal, where he gets $200M gross, then pays all the costs, and the net is what he makes
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:53 PM
Yeah, I usually skip favorites in MMA, I search for 3-4 underdogs I can play
so many overwhelming favorites lose. It’s really unpredictable.
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:53 PM
I’ll parlay some favorites together, but rarely make individual bets if it’s -200 or worse. I don’t bet enough to make it worthwhile in those cases.
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:53 PM
The AZ kicker has been good in this game and in years past but he’s had a disasterous season. He lost 2 games on blocked kicks and EX points blocked and run back for 2

the best to the man. Anyone who can still make that kind of cash while being a shell of themselves then god bless him. His audience has dwindled to such a degree over the last 10 years, that I have to think there’s some fuzzy math somewhere. He’s single handedly bankrupted both satellite companies, and now they’re throwing this kind of money at him? How is he going to bring in any of this back to the company?

it’s either that or don’t bet it. They’ve really got their offense rolling. 3 weeks ago, they flat crushed Toledo 65-30, and then hung 2 numbers on also rans in the conference.
Miami OH sure can’t score with them, and I don’t think they can stop them. I’ll be on it.

He’s the only reason they are still in business. Giving big fat Oprah $50 million to do nothing was far worse than Stern’s deal. They just hit 20 million subscribers, and I would say half are there because of Stern
December 3rd, 2010 at 12:03 AM
This UA/ASU game is a prime example of why I NEVER bet the under on a college football game. The O/U was 57, and if UA punches this in they’ll make it after not being anywhere near the line the entire night.

December 3rd, 2010 at 12:10 AM
While it’s true that Oprah/Martha Stewart/Eminem have all been gigantic wastes of money, Stern’s 4 day a week work week and 35 weeks a year does not lend itself to keep subs. I would love to know how many people are actually listening to him 2-3 times a week. No way it’s more than 2 million. Just no way.
There was a time when he was MASSIVELY successful (although never truly as successful as he would boast – he was routinely 2nd in Cleveland but would claim 1st.. over-exaggerating was his thing), but those days are over. He is not water cooler talk at all. Not all of it is his fault though. There’s nothing “shocking” that can be done on the radio anymore that you can’t pull up on any number of sites. The internet really did kill this style of radio.
Which is why I still love Opie and Anthony. They can just bring in a comedian and still do very funny radio that doesn’t involve contrived, overused characters.

the first one was an awesome block, and the second one was a terrible kick. And now this shitty team with not enough D1 wins might get a waiver to be bowl eligible, because there’s not enough eligible teams.

what did you get? 4.25 for 15 I hope.
December 3rd, 2010 at 12:12 AM
We refinanced last February and got 4.5. I was all fired up for it, and then it went lower. The math never went my way again, but it made a huge, huge difference in how much money we weren’t throwing in the garbage every month.
Also, my wife busts her ass, so we’re about to punish the principal for being there, and maybe even get a new driveway.

that’s true of anything, though. I said that the other night with the VS Show on CBS
I don’t know how many subscribers are paying month to month and how many are working on a free ___ # of months from their car mfg, but I honestly would think that if Stern walks away in a month completely, not returning, that they lose 30-40% of their paying clients.
I only listen to Stern & NFL Radio on mine. Anything else I can get on terrestrial or my iPod

We’re still doing the interest only @ 30 years, then adding extra principal every few months when we feel like it. It’s been so low for 5 years it’s ridiculous. Last month was 2.35%
We still have positive equity, but about 40% less than we had 3 years ago, so we’re in no rush. We’re gonna sell in 3 years anyway

He’s funny, a little too whiny to me and too overbearing when he would have guests on his radio show (similar to Stern), but still good. He reminds me of Anthony bigtime from O&A. Both conservative, both hilariously quick witted, and both with a comical take on just about everything. Anthony does voices though, so he wins.

I think you mean so far this year. And we’re not even a quarter of the way through the season. Regardless, you’d be wrong. Rondo’s averaging over 14 assists per game. Westbrook can score, and believe me he’s a great PG, but definitely not the best in the league.
