Saints Fan Gets 5 Years in Jail For Beating a Calf to Death with a Shovel Following New Orleans Loss to Dallas in 2009
Saints Fan Goes to Jail: Why? Because he beat a newborn calf to death after the Saints lost to the Cowboys in 2009.”A trio of men — LeBlanc, Dwayne J. Jenkins, 36, and Carnie B. Smith, 29 — vented their frustration by stealing a 3-day-old calf from nearby Red Bluff Farm, where schoolchildren often visit on field trips to learn about farming. They dragged the animal back to the apartment complex’s parking lot. There, as Jenkins and Smith watched, LeBlanc pummeled the calf with a shovel until it died.” [NOLA, AP]

Dexter agrees. I’m telling you, we could stand to lose a few billion people on this planet.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:03 AM
True indeed. The lack of basic humanity of some people still boggles the mind.

December 1st, 2010 at 10:12 AM
I really hope this douche doesn’t get the job
lol, he is my pick if i had one. his offense, Miami athletes, it’d be ovah
December 1st, 2010 at 10:13 AM
I’m also in the anti-Leach for Miami camp. Love the guy but I don’t think his style of offense is good for a school where one of the attractions is getting guys in the pros. Also, I think he and Shalala don’t mix.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:13 AM
Irish we could not be anymore yin/yang.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:14 AM
But you’re still my boy.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:14 AM
He hasn’t turned out that many good pro qbs / receivers so I don’t think he would be a good fit.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:15 AM
lol, he is my pick if i had one. his offense, Miami athletes, it’d be ovah
maybe he’d be OC. 2 hour commute (less by speedboat)
December 1st, 2010 at 10:15 AM
hes hated animals ever since his costar Ed the Chimp called him a pussy
December 1st, 2010 at 10:15 AM
The Louisiana law gonna get you Amos.
Jerry Reed. Classic.
And why is this guy a Saints fan first? Shouldn’t it be Twisted Asshole Kills Calf After Saints Loss.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:17 AM
I was hoping someone would get it.
war eagle.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:17 AM
Oh, he’s going to have a GREAT time behind bars, the pussy.
The Sisters will have an even better one once he gets there.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:18 AM
The only punishment that will be acceptable is this LeBlanc guy gets beat to death with a shovel.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:18 AM
He hasn’t turned out that many good pro qbs / receivers so I don’t think he would be a good fit
both you and cleet are saying he is not a good fit because Texas Tech didnt produce good pros? better athletes to draw to the school in FL
December 1st, 2010 at 10:18 AM
I think that’s the one aspect most people are overlooking. Whoever it is has to have her seal of approval, and that’s not necessarily easy to come by.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:19 AM
I think that’s the one aspect most people are overlooking. Whoever it is has to have her seal of approval, and that’s not necessarily easy to come by
she wants players to graduate, Mike Leach did that so throw that excuse out the window
December 1st, 2010 at 10:20 AM
…..actually make that all of them

Also read St Tony is trying to push Shannon for U of Minnesota’s job

part of this asshole’s plea for clemency was that his wife was pregnant. So it’s good that he’s not going to be around.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:21 AM
I go to a shit bar out here in Texas and I took them a Jerry Reed CD for their jukebox. Love that guy.
War Nolan Richardson, Todd Day, Lee Mayberry, Oliver Miller, Mario Credit and my all-time favorite…Lenzie Howell.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:22 AM
both you and cleet are saying he is not a good fit because Texas Tech didnt produce good pros? better athletes to draw to the school in FL
I was going to ask them to point to Lubbock on a map. What a desolate wasteland. I can’t imagine how much easier it would be to get better players in Miami.
I prefer they run the ball, and control it, though, so they can keep recruiting big time defensive playmakers, and not have to train a defense on how to spend 40 minutes a game on the field.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:22 AM
WTF! Who the hell does something like this? I just do not understand this crazy over the top loyalty that NFL fans have for their teams. They never played for these teams and the NFL franchises certainly have no loyalty towards their fans, so where does this craziness come from?
December 1st, 2010 at 10:24 AM
I just don’t think he will recruit the same kind of kids there now so while it might work for the next two years with their receiver core I don’t see it working long term.
I also don’t think he is touchable right now for the fact he is being sued over the Craig James thing and he is suing espn right now.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:24 AM
Because stupid crazy people are fans of only the NFL? Child please.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:24 AM
The only tragedy is that it didn’t live long enough to become steak
December 1st, 2010 at 10:25 AM
It’s not just about having athletes, it’s the system. I like Leach as a out there personality but not at Miami.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:27 AM
Especially given the styles of other teams in their division of the ACC.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:27 AM
i respect what my fellow Canes fans have to say. hope they get something done soon
December 1st, 2010 at 10:27 AM
He is going to get out of jail to find his son is a cowboys fan.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:28 AM
that’s from the way back machine. those teams from the late 80′s and early 90′s is when and why I started loving the Razorbacks. those games against UNLV were the shit.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:29 AM
irish – for the record I’m not sold on Gruden either as I’m not sure he is going to want to go out and recruit and get kids to graduate.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:30 AM
I also don’t think he is touchable right now for the fact he is being sued over the Craig James thing and he is suing espn right now
everyone knows the james lawsuit is a complete joke.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:30 AM
Despicable.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:31 AM
that’s part why i like Leach more than Gruden. im starting to think Gruden is using the U as a pawn right now vs NFL teams. i dont know, im reading too many articles from too many different people on this
December 1st, 2010 at 10:31 AM
for the record I’m not sold on Gruden either as I’m not sure he is going to want to go out and recruit and get kids to graduate.
anything to get that shitty gasbag out of the MNF booth.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:31 AM
Gruden’s recruiting plan:
/walk up to recruit
//flash big-ass Super Bowl ring
///walk away
////profit

Former Canes OL Joaquin Gonzalez tweets: RT @Joaquin_UMOL73: Don’t ask how I know but 4 yrs 17 million for Gruden.. Looks like a done deal..
December 1st, 2010 at 10:33 AM
Sadly Bill Callahan’s AFC Championship ring didn’t have the same appeal
December 1st, 2010 at 10:33 AM
Watching Arkansas fans shamelessly pull for Auburn will make the win on Saturday all the more sweeter.
Arky, when you need to sell those Sugar Bowl tix, lemme know. I’m sure I can find someone to take them off your hands.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:34 AM
Thats mean as shit, why kill an animal over a fucking football game? Most people get by just yelling obscenities at the TV.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:35 AM
Not confirmed by me.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:35 AM

I can’t imagine why he’d say yes to a job that pays 4 million, when he’s almost certainly going to be offered more money from a desperate NFL owner in 6 weeks.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:36 AM
Only part of SB 37 I enjoyed was when Gruden was mic’d and told John Lynch exactly what play the Raiders were going to run.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:37 AM
you have no idea how dirty that makes me feel.
thankfully on the tickets, if they don’t make it I am only out $10. I was pretty confident at first that Auburn was going to blow them out of the water, but the more I think about how much coaching is going to be involved in this game, the Ole Ball Coach has got me a little worried.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:37 AM
If the calf had been a Veal calf, then this never would have happened.
Seriously though, this is some fuck up shit. This is the first warning sign of a future mass murderer.

December 1st, 2010 at 10:37 AM
I lived in Arkansas then and used to go to Nolan Richardson’s basketball camp every year. I was in the 3rd-5th grade or so. Used to love those guys. I still pull for the basketball team but can’t stand the football team…most of the time anyway.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:38 AM
You’re forgetting the 5 minutes he spent with Tebow before the draft last year. He wants to work with young guys?
December 1st, 2010 at 10:38 AM
I can’t imagine why he’d say yes to a job that pays 4 million, when he’s almost certainly going to be offered more money from a desperate NFL owner in 6 weeks.
he’s already getting paid like $5 million from Tampa to watch Raheem coach. I really think he wants to do this for a few years, then go back to the pros with more knowledge of the collegiate process
December 1st, 2010 at 10:39 AM
I have been reminding people all week that Stephen Garcia still plays for the Cocks. Dude is due for a 4 INT game.

put these assholes away for a long ass time.
December 1st, 2010 at 12:48 PM
I am in favor of the death penalty. However, people who abuse animals to the point that the animal dies should be put to death.
And, yes, I am looking at a current quarterback in Philadelphia.

Bevo, you did it wrong. Here, I’ll show you on the off chance that you see this. Also, I’m really disappointed that this wasn’t in the first 5 responses:
