Roundup pic is burning my laptop.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:20 AM
fixed.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:20 AM
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Call me crazy but 87 cents per tshirt and a small bump in donations doesn’t add up to Cam being worth millions to Auburn.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:21 AM
more fixed.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:22 AM
Lots of ugly football for both NY teams yesterday.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:23 AM
Yeah, some weekends football sucks.

CRM should learn to not make silly MMA bets.

Raheem Brock of the Seahawks was arrested Saturday morning for DUI … then played Sunday. Where’s the outrage?
I’m outraged about how shitty the NFC West is. Does that count?
November 15th, 2010 at 8:24 AM
Can’t believe the radio folks this morning in the burgh are devoting so much time on Jeff Reed missing a 26 yarder last night. I can easily think of 5 more important concerns than that drunk.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:24 AM
On the plus side, the Pats looked pretty good last night.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:25 AM
Props to Sanchize for gutting that game out, though.
Hoping that yesterday was just a bad game like the Colts game earlier in the year and not the sign of anything to come.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:27 AM
and not the sign of anything to come.
those were some bad offensive linemen. I wasn’t going to watch that game, but Boothe and his big bottom were playing.
That one awful, unnecessary hold was an awful, unnecessary hold that brought back 7 easy points.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:27 AM
Jersey, i think I cheered louder for the Holmes TD yesterday than any other Jets moment I’ve witnessed as a fan.
Candidates off-the-cuff:
Shonn Greene TD run vs. SD in playoffs last year
Braylon Edwards bomb vs. Colts in AFC title game
Incredible MNF rally many moons ago
(pick a Keyshon Johnson moment)
November 15th, 2010 at 8:31 AM
And that play covered the spread. When they went to OT, I figured I was safe either way, but no so fast, my friend.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:31 AM
and yet…fuck you.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:31 AM
Yeah, that was just dumb. The offense had some stupid mistakes, and obviously could tell Eli didn’t have his security blanket in Steve Smith, but I am talking more about the defense. They let up a lot of points in the end against Dallas a few weeks ago, and looks like Dallas had figured some things out late in that game against the D and then exposed it yesterday. It wasn’t mistakes on defense, they just were straight up outplayed. 1 sack was when Kitna’s foot was stepped on by the offensive linemen.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:33 AM
Does TCU have any shot to play in the BCS title game? Jerry Palm says no.
everything went wrong for TCU this weekend about holding that spot. I didn’t think it was possible for them to lose it, but now I don’t think it’s possible for them to keep it.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:33 AM
the browns are as good as the jets.
i said it.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:35 AM
Dallas had figured some things out late in that game against the D and then exposed it yesterday.
yeah, Dallas figured out that 88 is an animal and he’ll can bring down almost anything, even horrible Kitna passes.

2. Santonio Holmes OT TD in a regular season game against an under .500 team.
3. Tom Cruise removes mask as Paul Pierce returns to game.

TCU isn’t allowed a trap game but the BCS conference guys are. Just the way it works. They held off a tough SDSU team a week after destroying one of their rivals in their place. Boise meanwhile beat a shitty team in Moscow in a drab fieldhouse and leapfrogged them.

to be fair, TCU leapfrogged Boise under similar circumstances, and also, Boise didn’t leap them yet.
You might think that Boise could possibly lose to Nevada, but that kid from Nevada can’t throw it very accurately. I watched that whole stupid Fresno State game on Saturday night.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:41 AM
ya if they still had chance to make playoffs they wouldve just run out the clock for the tie

November 15th, 2010 at 8:43 AM
all 3 of tcus “big” wins got blown out on saturday. they havent played a decent team all year
November 15th, 2010 at 8:43 AM
Props to Dolphins for having a serviceable third string QB. They’re still somewhat relevant, at least for the time being.
Still flabbergasted that so many teams passed up on Dez Bryant in the draft. For all the bad around the Cowboys this year, that’s the one bright spot.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:43 AM
You’re right dirt, only in Harris and coaches polls. I just find it dumb that voters will only take these last couple weeks into consideration instead of the entire season. The regular season is supposed to be a playoff but your early work might not matter if you win by less than a touchdown in November.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:45 AM
To be fair everyone else on the Steelers stepped up and said they got their asses kicked. Reed blamed (in order) the turf, the fans and then the press for the missed FGs this season and all the negativity, but then said there were no excuses.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:45 AM
Listen Up worked out for them so well, why not take another shot. Kornheiser as tv character is infinitely more entertaining, in concept, than Cowturd.

Utah is a good team. That Notre Dame loss is a typical one, a team still deflated after losing their biggest game of the year and going on the road.
Utah also outgained ND – but special teams and turnovers did them in.

I blame his mustache.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
Utah is a good team.
They’ve only got one good win themselves, and it’s against Air Force. Everybody else they’ve beaten hasn’t beaten anybody but the worse teams they’ve beaten. They’re a mirage.
Who watched Oregon? Did they really finish that game with an 18 play 8 minute clock killing drive?
November 15th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
It’s unbelievable how much crap the networks can put out and it just doesn’t matter.

November 15th, 2010 at 8:50 AM
Peter King has a lot of nice things to say about Mark Sanchez.
did he mention that defenders keep dropping the bad INT’s he’s throwing?
November 15th, 2010 at 8:50 AM
The 2010 Chicago Bears are 6-3. Something is wrong with football.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:50 AM
“These are the games I didn’t give us a chance to win last year,” Sanchez said. “Either because of bad passes, bad decisions, interceptions, whatever. That’s what I’m happy about. I’m not making the dumb decisions now. I’m really proud how we hung in there today.”
i count 3, maybe 4 the rookie couldn’t pull off last year.

November 15th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
Yeah, for every play that Sanchez made yesterday that was commendable, there was another that was near disaster.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
around the draft i heard teams had concerns about his health, some sort of heart thing. apparently he seems fine, but i could see teams not taking a 1st rounder for those concerns.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
I think the NFC West provides as a whole a stronger argument for “something is wrong with football” but nonetheless, your point is compelling.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:52 AM

Happy for Troy Smith. Glad he’s getting a shot finally. Someone had to put Alex Smith out of his misery and off my television. I think I read it took 6 years for Alex to throw for over 300 yards in a game. It took Troy two starts as a Niner.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
haters gonna hate, you know that. Sanchez could walk on water and the commenters here would still hate the guy.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
the press has markets to suck up to and telling the truth about sanchez being terrible doesn’t get many eyeballs in the big apple.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
If you bet on a NFC playoff game this year, insane you are. That is going to be a total crapshoot.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:54 AM

dude, that’s not true at all. if sanchez were legitimately good, i’d give him tons of credit. hell, i give big fuckign ben credit for being a damn QB after years of roasting the guy.
the fact is, sanchez isn’t that good. and losing to him makes me sick to my fucking stomach no matter how loaded the rest of that team is.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:56 AM
I only hate Sanchez because he’s an NFL quarterback and I’m not. so my hate is completely rational.
oh, and he’s m3x1c@n.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:56 AM
Touché, sir. I think Dustin Keller is in the top 5 of receiving yards for TEs too. You might just want to go out and buy a sling to keep it in the house for that shoulder.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:57 AM
Try to keep things level-headed around here. Sanchez is better than he was last year, no doubt. But the unsurprising praise from King does not mean he suddenly belongs in the same category as league’s best quarterbacks.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:57 AM
Sanchez peers think he is overrated. ranked 3rd in player poll
Freeman > Sanchez all day er day, twice on Sunday
November 15th, 2010 at 8:57 AM
Sanchez could walk on water and the commenters here would still hate the guy.
and you don’t think that the effusive praise you pour on that guy when the Jets win a game factors into that? Or the excuse making when he has a terrible game?
You have created the hostile environment toward that kid that exists here. Just sayin’
November 15th, 2010 at 8:59 AM
I’m convinced I would hate Dez Bryant.
you can’t possibly hate him as a football player. That’s just not possible.
November 15th, 2010 at 8:59 AM

November 15th, 2010 at 9:00 AM
mark sanchez should’ve thanked the browns D’s collective butterfingers.
and their inability to bring him to the ground. fucker got lucky as hell.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:01 AM
Oh he’s really good, obviously. That’s why I said “as a person”. He’s my new Michael Irvin. Which I needed. Irvin gave that awesome HOF speech and I couldn’t actively despise him anymore, even in retirement. Owens and Flozell Adams are gone. I like Romo, Ware, Barber. I was getting worried.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:03 AM
that’s where im at with the steelers.
hate the fuck out of their fans and ownership, but like watching big ben, harrison, mike wallace and woodley.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:03 AM
so I think we’ll use the Steelers/Pats game for our proof that watching a whole football game is important, rather than red zone or highlights or stats.
Because at the end, the score makes it look like a shootout and not a blowout. And the gaudy numbers for Roethlisberger make it seem like maybe he had a good game. But if you watched that whole game, you know a different story.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:03 AM
I like hating on Sanchez if I can, but this is stupid.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:03 AM
It’ll be the other way around.
They are ok. They are not a top 20 team this year. Would be in bottom half of most BCS conferences.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:04 AM
Exactly. It’d be nice to give a shit again, but I’m not going to be able to as long as Childress is there.
His almost Rapelisberger-esque escapability is very admirable. He’s still woefully inaccurate. He’s another Vinny Testaverde at best.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
took some bad sacks but they had 2 dropped tds i can remember plus the fg miss
November 15th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
Damnit Spencer. No more calling roethlisberger a sloppy faggot?
November 15th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
Sanchez played fine yesterday. Credit for the victory belongs to former Ohio hero, Santonio Holmes. He broke the tackles and took it to the house on that last play. Jets’ concerns should be about their two losses being at home right now.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
He’s still woefully inaccurate.
but he threw a 37 yard game winning touchdown pass. You’re a hater.

November 15th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
Same as Giants/Cowboys, which someone here last night was saying, “What happened? Stats say Eli was fine other than two picks.”
November 15th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
Yeah, no. I watched Sanchez make not just a couple of throws that weren’t near picks because a defender made a nice play. They were near picks because a quarterback didn’t see things and make a smart play.
Also, I hope Hakeem Nicks breaks all ten toes in practice this week.

imo
Brees, Rivers, Brady, P Manning are in a league of their own.
Next tier: A Rodgers, Ryan, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Eli and I’d argue Sanchez, the way he’s playing this season, falls in this batch of 5-10
But other than the top 4, I wouldn’t trade Sanchez for another QB in the league (if you absolutely made me, I’d take Rodgers)
November 15th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
And Toy Story 3 made $80 billion dollars because of Don Rickles.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
5/15 with 50 yarda after the first half. Randle el and Heath Miller forgetting how to catch a football in the end zone may had something to do with that as well.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
sanchez played just fine.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
Hakeem Nicks sucks! Run the right route!
That was a practice squad corner, too.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:09 AM
I don’t know if I would call those tackles he broke. He just kind of ran and the Browns 3 defenders went Keystone Cops on the attempt to tackle.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:10 AM

have you even seen Baltimore play since week 1? Flacco is terrible, terrible, terrible. I know you chose not to watch a game between two 6-2 football teams last Thursday, but you need to stop talking if you think Flacco is any good.

Rapelisberger is way above all those guys, and not just because of RINNNGGSSSSSSSS.
Flacco and Sanchez are about even, both gifted into playing on very good teams. Put either of those guys on Arizona or Carolina and we might be shouting “BUST!” They aren’t difference-makers of that kind. Therefore they’re a notch below Ben, Ryan (who proved it Thursday) and Rodgers.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:13 AM
Allen needs to go away. He can take his huge salary with him.
I know tight ends are a dime a dozen these days, but I’ll keep Shiancoe in his place
November 15th, 2010 at 9:14 AM
agreed. both times the offense was worthless.

November 15th, 2010 at 9:15 AM
fair, but what QB could you put on those teams and make them good?
I know Brady’s done it w/out superstars … but he does have Belichick.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:15 AM
Vick is playing as well as anyone not named Peyton or Phillip.
/just sayin
November 15th, 2010 at 9:15 AM
If Aaron Rodgers was QB of the Jets you aren’t in OT against the Browns and the Lions. True story. Not with the Jets running game and the accuracy that Rodgers possesses.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:15 AM
Big Ben keeps hearing how Phillip Rivers is a MVP, so he figured he’d play like crap, get down 3 scores, and put up some stats on a soft defense.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:16 AM
I’ll give some props to Flacco, no one checks down to his RB better than he does. I think all of his passings yards in that Miami game was all after the catch by the RB/WR
November 15th, 2010 at 9:16 AM

pats and jets are totally different teams now. will be close.
can the jets stop the pats when brady doesn’t force balls to moss?
can the pats get past the jets o-line and force sanchize to make mistakes?

Big Ben keeps hearing how Phillip Rivers is a MVP, so he figured he’d play like crap, get down 3 scores, and put up some stats on a soft defense.
truth. Rivers can scorch a prevent defense.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:17 AM
Dallas had figured some things out late in that game against the D and then exposed it yesterday.
i cant figure out how that offense suddenly played so well. its the same players, with the same coach. things are seperate in dallas, wade had nothing to do with the offense. it was and always has been all garrett.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
Is cornerback play this year worse than ever? How many competent corners are there in the NFL?
Rasheen Mathis (sp?) of Jacksonville looked foolish yesterday. Kareem Jackson may not be the worst corner in the NFL????
November 15th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
peyton, rivers, brees, brady, big ben, rodgers, ryan would make the cardinals good.
no one can make the panthers any good.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
No, i watched. But you’re right … he probably doesn’t belong here.
dude, you were watching Heat Celtics, and tweeting about it and commenting about it. I know what you watched.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:18 AM
Brady was amazing. He and Manning seem so much more in control than any other QB’s in the league. I think the top tier consists of just those two.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:19 AM
romo’s also better than sanchez.
just thought i’d throw that one in there too.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:19 AM
GRRRRRR! ARGGG!!!!!
November 15th, 2010 at 9:20 AM
You certainly are a fan. I’ll give you that. Is there one NFL GM who would take Sanchez over Rodgers if they drafted QBs right now?
November 15th, 2010 at 9:20 AM
Is cornerback play this year worse than ever? How many competent corners are there in the NFL?
the rules are stacked against them now. Did you see that cheap ass flag against the Rams? That DB got flagged for PI on a ball that was obviously thrown away, 8 yards behind a reciever who was running the other way, just because he stopped.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:20 AM
Freeman > Sanchez. smell the coffee
November 15th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
So….is Sanders still dying/dead?
November 15th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
Game last night reminded me of several years back when they went into Minnesota and spread the field, let Brady take over the game.
He’s been up and down this year, but when he’s getting protection he can tear apart anyone.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
Collinsworth mentioned this, but it sort of helps when the Steelers were dropping one of the best pass rushers in the league into coverage. Zero pressure last night.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
Glover Quinn was disgusted of himself after the hail Mary. It was funny
November 15th, 2010 at 9:21 AM
Way more ups, than down. But he’s had a couple of stinkers.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
Advice needed. I got a kindle 3g and am going to subscribe to one paper. What should it be. I’m rolling with trials of the nyt and wsj to start.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
All the guys you mentioned above them. Right now (and this changes practically week to week), it’s Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Ryan, and Vick that could make a terrible team into a playoff team.
After that, you could talk me into Romo, Eli, Favre, Schaub, and Orton turning say, Arizona into an 8-8 team. That probably says more about Derek Anderson and Max Hall, but still… I’m taking all of those guys over Sanchez or Flacco. Maybe even Cutler too.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
Possom
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
For a dead guy he sure does love twitter. The guy was tweeting every 20 seconds the other day.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM
Unfair comparison. I know people laugh at TBL’s “hes only played like 5 games” talk, but this is ARodgers 6th year as a pro. I like Sanchez, baller.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:23 AM
Fully agree with this.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:23 AM
I think you may be retarded.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:24 AM
He was tweeting yesterday.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:24 AM
Eli is so much better than Schaub, Favre, and Orton. He really doesn’t belong in the same group.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
Sanders was here yesterday in the 700 comments thread
November 15th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
Wow, nice. Go get another Starbucks, fella.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
Brady has been doing that to the steelers since day one. It was disgusting seeing how much time he got. I think the first time a defender touched him was during that failed two point attempt late in the 3rd.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
He is going to pretty damn good. The South will have Brees, Ryan and Freeman for a few years competing amongst each other. Should be fun to watch.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
oh, and id just like to thank penn state for causing me to crack my cell phone’s display after throwing it in the first half of saturday’s game. thanks for looking that good for a half and then packing it up and going home early…
fuckin’ OSU, jr…
November 15th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
took a good pic at the Bucs game yesterday

November 15th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
For all his faults, Sanchez has a little bit of dongslinger in him. He was limping all game, but when Holmes got through those missed tackles Sanchez jumped higher than Nate Robinson over D-Ho.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
I gave him a trial run for a while on Twitter but he drowns out everyone else I follow. No offense or anything Sanders.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:27 AM
Of course he made mistakes. Plenty. Everyone does.
It’s called DVR. if you watch 2 channels at once, you can watch both games and rewind. So when NBA went to a commercial, i switched over and watched. By the 3rd qtr, that games was over, no need to switched. Plus, I had Falcons -1, so you know I watched.
but nice try.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:27 AM
my anaconda wants some…
November 15th, 2010 at 9:28 AM
geez, nice seats.
nicer toilets.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:28 AM
It appeared as though Ginger McGloin thought he was going to have those easy out routes in the 2nd half without OSU making adjustments.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:28 AM
Just don’t get the Eli rip. He wasn’t the problem yesterday. Just seemed like a cheap rip because you hate the Giants.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:28 AM
Oh, yeah. That was a damn shame. That set up 49ers deep into Rams territory. Two plays later, Nedney wins the game.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:28 AM
I agree for the most part but man, Eli has some BAD games every once in a while.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:29 AM
Send this to Lisk, that’s reason enough to bump the Bucs into the top 15
November 15th, 2010 at 9:29 AM
Fan-friggin-tastic!
November 15th, 2010 at 9:30 AM
troy smith > flacco
VINDICATION!!!! YES!!!!
November 15th, 2010 at 9:30 AM
November 15th, 2010 at 9:30 AM
/laughs maniacally
November 15th, 2010 at 9:31 AM
Not 1. Nor Roethlisberger, even with his issues. Nor Ryan. Nor Eli.
And Freeman is damn good too.
Comparing him to Flacco isn’t a bad call – great line and running game with outside weapons that occasionally get used. But, that’s about his ceiling. He was butter fingers away from 3 picks yesterday and none of them were smart throws. The image of Cotchery’s catch above was a colossally dumb throw too.
Top 10 QB’s don’t spend 15% of the plays at WR. Those guys don’t need that crap. Come back and defend when they throw up another 0 on the board.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:32 AM
We’re calling chicks’ asses “toilets” now? That’s really gross.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:32 AM
I wonder what Canadians would call this.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:33 AM
How many yards/play are they averaging on the wildcat? If it’s working well, I wouldn’t say that’s a knock against Sanchez.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:33 AM
Fuckin guy keeps the play alive every snap. Head is always down field, reasonably accurate with the deep pass, and from what I can see, his teammates love him. It is because of Troy Smith that we won yesterday.
Which is exactly why Dingleberry will start the other Smith next week.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:33 AM
Eli has been really, really good this year. The second pick (the late one) was a bad play by him. The first one, the pick six, I couldn’t figure out what the heck happened there.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:33 AM
It’s incredibly gross. And I thought that was already established many times here.
I can’t even look at the photos because Twitter is blocked at work. I’m sure they’re fantastic.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:34 AM
Thanks, Beavis
Bottom line, until the Jets offense can avoid having those horrendously awful stinkbombs like they had against Baltimore and Green Bay, Sanchez should never ever be considered on the same level as a legit top 10 guy.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:34 AM
turd cutters.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:34 AM
If this is true, Peyton owns his own federation.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
Must be something about leaving the Colts. Dominic Rhodes pissed himself in the back of a squad car the offseason he signed with the Raiders. Then again, their punter was found face down in a creek less than a month ago, so that’s no real concrete theory. Maybe football players just like to booze it up?
November 15th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
the 2nd one was straight up force. they had to score quick, and he made a bad play. Nicks definitely fucked up the first one.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:35 AM
If you ask Troy Aikman, it’s 100 percent on Hakeem Nicks. Although even if Nicks was 1-2 yards further in, that was still a terrible decision because the corner had great coverage. He probably would’ve picked it anyway, just not returned it because Nicks would’ve made the tackle.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:36 AM
It has been. Many many times. It’s like calling a girl’s snatch “blood factory”.

November 15th, 2010 at 9:38 AM
NDub, you’re right. The corner was playing to take away the inside route, no doubt.
Probably why Nicks chose to go outside. Whether or not that’s actually true, I guess, is likely something only the guys in the meeting room will end up knowing.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:39 AM
I have no dog in this fight, but you can’t elevate a QB to another “tier” based on winning “big” regular-season games, then be the first to pounce on another of those “top-tier” QB’s when they lose a playoff game. Sportwriters are the ultimate hypocrites with two-second memories.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:40 AM
I mean, it might not even have been a case where Nicks had an option. If you’re going to guess, I’d go with the veteran QB.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:40 AM
The Vikings got one of those too where Favre woefully underthrew one so Harvin stops on a dime and the corner runs into him…would like to see the competition committee try and do something here, not really fair to reward the offense when they did little right on a play
Also, Favre sucks
November 15th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Never has one man gotten so much hype for beating the Lions and the Browns.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:42 AM
Not fair, Butters. His shoulder is hurt.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
the only way it wasn’t all on Nicks is if he saw something completely different than Eli and was expecting the ball to the outside. but if the call was a slant, if he runs the route and gets in front of his man, it’s a TD.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
The Browns are pretty good.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:43 AM
Yeah. He’s seen all the snaps inside the 20. RedZone rules!!

November 15th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
There was this kinda cool short documentary on NFL Network the other night on Favre’s return to Green Bay and Big Ben’s return from his suspension. They did a bunch of interviews with fans in Green Bay and Pittsburgh. It was interesting to see the split reaction over them. Fathers with daughters in Pittsburgh (and females in general) seemed less than thrilled about Ben’s return. And some dudes laid up in the hospital thought it was classless of Packer fans to boo Favre, while others were hoping to see Clay Matthews spike him.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:45 AM
Of course, of course…nice to see the ankle’s fully healed though, he had no problems jumping on it after the TD pass

and don’t forget those wins are totally because of Sanchize
November 15th, 2010 at 9:46 AM
22nd ranked defense against the pass, according to FO. Missing Sheldon Brown after the first quarter. Giving up 245 passing yards/game, 23rd in league. Allowing QB’s to complete 62% of passes, 20th in league.
/facts
November 15th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
245 is a damn good defensive game for the Texans
November 15th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
The Giants ran the exact same play against the Seahawks last week with Nicks slanting to the front of the endzone out of the exact same look. The Cowboys were ready for it, great job by them. The corner jumped the inside instead of handing him off to the safety. He completely gave up the corner route because he knew what was coming.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:48 AM
Please tell me Singletary really isnt considering starting Alex next week
November 15th, 2010 at 9:49 AM
Between the Dongslingers turnovers and Devin Hesters returns Chicago should have won by 30. But they have Jay Cutler.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:50 AM
Holy shit, quarterbacks are completing 70 percent against the Patriots. That is awesome.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
turd cutters.
shit shooters.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
He gave the whole, “Alex Smith is our starter” interview at some point last week. He can’t do it now. There’s no way. A few of the players came out yesterday and said great things about Troy Smith in a way that basically told Alex Smith to go fuck himself.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Fair enough, but how much of that is weighed by the stinkbombs Delhomme and Wallace threw out there? They’ve been much better the past 3 weeks.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Sorry for the confusion, I was talking about their pass defense (since this is really part of the Sanchez conversation).
November 15th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
steelers got a lot better last night once the pats went into a prevent d.
November 15th, 2010 at 10:09 AM

I wanted to believe in Alex Smith badly because he hadn’t played terrible but, it just seemed as though he was nervous and trying not to make mistakes when he played. I say roll with Troy and let’s see what happens.
