How is this an issue? This is blowing my mind. Had he stuck to just some regular homophobic remark I’m sure nothin would have been said(/sarcasm’d). What people now accept as medical conditions (alcoholism, drug addiction) people are free to openly mock that. As is the case of many people on this site. This is ridiculous that this has blown up. I’m sure if this was a Jets player this wouldn’t be leading off the days post on this site. It’s a personal dislike of a player that has caused this to be an “issue”

I’d be surprised if MJ/Bird/etc, trash talk carried over into personal stuff like life threatening diseases. They didn’t need to stoop that low while embarrassing you on the court.

I would guarantee that there are things much worse said on a court or a playing field in general. But it’s KG, people are pre-disposed on here to not like him anyway, so cue the outrage.

i think we give athletes of the past too much credit. those guys were just as corrupt/twisted/law-breaking/etc as the today’s atheletes. fortunately for them, there wasn’t the constant exposure these guys have to deal with today.
