Washington 116, Philadelphia 115, OT: Cartier Martin buried a three with :01 left (video after the jump) – why didn’t Andre Igoudala foul him? – and the Wiz won in overtime on two Andray Blatche free throws with :07 left. Iggy’s high arcing 15-foot bank shot at the buzzer missed badly. Philly remains winless. John Wall had 29 points, 13 assists and nine steals in his home debut, and if you didn’t already know, the man can dance. Nice to see Flip giving Nick Young a chance (20 points in 23 minutes).

Atlanta 100, Cleveland 88: The Cavs’ opening-night magic has vanished – they haven’t won since. The Hawks, meanwhile, are 4-0, which makes The Sports Hernia happy. But no, Smith-Horford-Marvin Williams are nothing compared to Nique, Levingston & Rollins.

Miami 129, Minnesota 97: Forget the 58 percent shooting, or the 26 from Wade, or the 20-12 from LeBron … how scary is it that Eddie House and James Jones hit 9-of-13 from three? Mike Miller’s a better shooter than both of those guys. Visigoths, indeed. Michael Beasley had a good game … until he landed hard on his hip and didn’t return. No words on his prognosis yet.

Boston 109, Detroit 86: Signs your career is over: T-Mac played seven minutes, shot 0-for-1. Sigh. In his prime … damn. Anyway, nice to see Austin Daye from Gonzaga playing well – 16 points in 26 minutes. Hey, somebody’s got to take shots on that awful team. Detroit’s 0-4.

Portland 90, Milwaukee 76: The Bucks fell to 1-3 and appear to be struggling fitting all those new pieces into place (17 turnovers, 37 percent shooting). Not to get the John Salmons debate started already, but he’s 11-for-41 shooting this season (2-14 last night). The $39 million man is off to a slow start (7.7 ppg).

LA Lakers 124, Memphis 105: The most boring teams to write about in the regular season are the Lakers and Heat. Too many blowouts. The Lakers ran away and hid in the second quarter and the bench was one again impressive (Barnes had 16-15, Shannon Brown had 13, Steve Blake had 10). As always, Pau > Marc. LA’s first test comes Sunday night at home against Portland.
