Brett Favre Goes Down With a Lacerated Chin [Updated with Video]
Brett Favre was knocked out of the Patriots-Vikings game and has been carted into the locker room following what looked like a pleasurable shot to the chin from New England’s Myron Pryor. Word from the Vikes is Favre has a “severe laceration” on his chin. [UPDATE: Jay Glazer says eight stitches.] Return is “questionable” as is his legendary taste in footwear. T-Jack time, baby!

Norv Turner is a moron.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:17 PM
In a league in which bad decisions to go for 2 happen routinely, I believe Norv made the dumbest one of the year. If it ends up costing them, he should be fired tomorrow.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:18 PM
your best post of the day. +8.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:20 PM
I really like Josh Freeman. I can’t wait until Cincinnati has hope at the QB spot again.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:21 PM
he should be fired regardless because he fucking sucks.
CARDINALS JUST CHOKED.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:22 PM

The 4-4 Raiders have returned to glory.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:23 PM
Not that it matters but SD didn’t actually intentionally go for 2, they screwed up the extra point snap
October 31st, 2010 at 7:23 PM
Hernia still master of the photo captions.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:23 PM
the Bucs-Cards game could be the most unlikely, fun shootout of the season. 38-35 with 5 mins left?
Josh Freeman looks like a star
October 31st, 2010 at 7:25 PM
bucs are the luckily team ever
October 31st, 2010 at 7:25 PM
Tampa’s gonna win this game
October 31st, 2010 at 7:27 PM
Ahhh, I feel stupid then.
That said, Norv Turner is indeed a moron.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:27 PM
too early too tell, he’s only started x amount of games.
/Stafford is w/o a doubt the best QB from that class and he has only started half the games of sanchize.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:28 PM
Bucs have worse team, Freeman has better record just saying lol
October 31st, 2010 at 7:29 PM
What a brainfart. Shit.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:29 PM
Get rid of the ball, Freeman. Geez
October 31st, 2010 at 7:31 PM
how many games has Freeman started? I think Stafford has started 12 and has 3 wins.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:31 PM
I mean, that’s really not true. Worse skill players maybe.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:31 PM
good call ref. he was tackled before the ball go there.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:31 PM
And on a related not, happy 43rd birthday vanilla ice.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:32 PM
I hope he retires tomorrow. I can’t deal with another week of “breaking news Brett Favre got out of bed on his own today, he may start sunday!
October 31st, 2010 at 7:32 PM
umm….what?
/Freeman has more career starts than Stafford.
//also done more with less talent
October 31st, 2010 at 7:35 PM
meant as a shot at Sanchize.
and the less talent for freeman is certainly debatable.
October 31st, 2010 at 7:35 PM
Freeman is only started 16, 17 after today.. 7 victories so far
of course should of never taken that stupid sack
October 31st, 2010 at 7:36 PM

October 31st, 2010 at 7:59 PM
Good for the Bucs. Freeman has 6 come from behind victories, making him 189 times better than Aaron Rodgers & 2,327,843 times better than Sanchize
October 31st, 2010 at 8:00 PM
Jets score yet?
October 31st, 2010 at 8:08 PM
We won’t have to worry about Favre watch this offseason. It’s kind of sad to see him go out this way, even though it’s inevitable at the same time.
October 31st, 2010 at 8:09 PM
Fuck Favre.
October 31st, 2010 at 8:12 PM
I thought the NFL went out of their way not to rain on MLB World Series parade. Haven’t they tried not to schedule games on same night before?

I’m not certain of anything there but the sad part, and the inevitable part. He may come back and play for Arizona, but I think he’s through in Minny for sure.
October 31st, 2010 at 8:13 PM
I heard someone say that McNabb was headed for Arizona too
/Won’t that be fun

MLB does not schedule on Mondays, that’s how that’s always worked. But the NFL has become the boss of Sundays, with a generally guaranteed good matchup. And MLB can’t duck 2 days in a row.
October 31st, 2010 at 8:15 PM
I hope the Steelers blow out the Saints
October 31st, 2010 at 8:16 PM
Thanks Dirt

I thought that the NFL had not played a Sunday night game the last few years, in deference to MLB. This year, they said fuck it, let’s kill ‘em

Apparently the freaks do come out at night…
