So what Lisk is saying is, yeah, he totally is, but I can’t prove it, so here are three dude who played with rosters full of HoF talent every year.

He played on crap early, but he benefitted the other way late. Those Broncos teams of 1996-1998 had among the best offensive talent since the merger: Zimmerman at LT, four other really good linemen, Shannon Sharpe, Terrell Davis, Rod Smith. He was better than his numbers in 1987, worse than his numbers in 1998.

If anyone is saying he is top 15, yes, but I don’t know that I’ve heard that. I would not have him in the top 15. Here is my defense of Joe Namath as a Hall of Famer wherein I discuss things like accounting for sacks versus completion percentage, quarterback rating, and era adjustments.
