Carlos Boozer Mysteriously Got Injured, and Now He’s Filed for Dissolution of His Marriage From His Wife
Carlos Boozer: This one’s for the conspiracy theorists (slash Tiger Woods fans) – Saturday, on an off-day, Boozer suffered a mysterious hand injury when he “tripped over a bag” in his house. He had surgery Monday and will be out eight weeks. Three days later, Boozer “filed for dissolution” of his marriage from his wife – they have three kids together – according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Proceedings for the divorce had been in the works since August. According to the Tribune, “a financial settlement between Boozer and his wife must be approved before the divorce becomes official.”

I read this post as “I am still busy with the Steve McNair case. I am going to need to farm this one out to a n00b. Anyone interested?”

For professional athletes, they all seem to trip over things and fall into stuff an awful lot.

For the conspiracy theorists: yesterday, I had pizza for lunch, and this morning, Randy Moss was traded. You do the math.

Hell, even getting engaged made Derek Jeter no longer good at baseball

I’ve heard since summer 2009 that Boozer and his wife were on the outs. I actually thought they’ve been done since sometime early last NBA season.

According to the Tribune, “a financial settlement between Boozer and his wife must be approved before the divorce becomes official.”
i’m just not man enough to craft a joke where she is boozer, he becomes that old blind cavs owner, and the divorce is the free agency.
No high fives for me.

Wales: Buffalo
Campbell: Sharks
Cup: Sharks
Hart: Ovechkin
Vezina: Miller
Norris: Doughty
Calder: Hall
Byng: who gives a fuck
Selke: Datsyuk
Adams: who gives a fuck
October 6th, 2010 at 12:58 PM
I have to assume that you’re going on the writer’s and their tendency to just pick someone they know because that guy is definitely not that good anymore.
If I had to pick one not named Ryan Miller, it’d probably be Izzy in PHX. Wouldn’t put it by Rask is Boston either.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:02 PM
Is this all but a lock this year? Everyone is picking Doughty. I’m a homer for Dunks but what about Lidstrom or even Chara?
October 6th, 2010 at 1:03 PM

Haters gonna hate.
But seriously 45-25-6 with 9 SO’s.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:04 PM
but my picks for who I think should win:
Hart: Sid
Vezina: Anderson (or Vokoun)
Norris: Doughty
Calder: Probably Hall unless the Oilers are smart and keep him in Windsor, then I will say MPS.
Selke: Zajac
October 6th, 2010 at 1:04 PM
You’re both takin’ the Sharks too, eh? I just don’t know if Nemo can be successful in front of that Sharks defense if he’s facing 30+ shots a night.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:04 PM
Norris: Doughty
Is this all but a lock this year?
I was on the fence between him and Doughty, had to go with the former Rocket.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:07 PM
Calder: Probably Hall unless the Oilers are smart and keep him in Windsor, then I will say MPS.
Imma go out on a (relatively strong) limb and say that Eberle will be the best of the 3 this year.
/Hall won’t be sent back
//Not cause I don’t want him too, moreso that Oilers brass are rehtards
October 6th, 2010 at 1:07 PM
I’d love to see Subban win the Calder, too. He’s eligible.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:10 PM
I actually think the Kings might win the cup, speared on by future American Anze Kopitar
October 6th, 2010 at 1:10 PM
My lone homer driven pick is for the Hart. #19 for Hart, baby. It’s happening!
Everything else you guys had I pretty much agree with. Agree with fetch for Selke of Datsyuk over Kesler.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:10 PM

As long as his GAA is 2.75 or lower per game it won’t matter. Their backend isn’t great but I really like Vlasic.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:10 PM
Sid is going to run away with the Ross though.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:12 PM

While I have a solid man crush on Toews he won’t put up good enough numbers to be nominated.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:14 PM
I know… but I’m going to be holding the campaign sign all year long. Kane will probably lead the team in points, but Toews and his two way play are more valuable than Kane will ever be.
Toews does it all. Kane merely puts up the numbers.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:16 PM
but Toews and his two way play are more valuable than Kane will ever be.
No argument here. If I’m starting a team from scratch and have the #2 pick I’m taking Toews.
October 6th, 2010 at 1:43 PM
I’m guessing its good That I landed Koiyvu, Heatley, Kesler, and Datsyuk on my fantasy team?
