Will Ines Sainz pose for Playboy? She has an offer.
Why can’t I gamble on things like this? I called it two weeks ago.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:46 AM
tannenbaum!
September 30th, 2010 at 8:46 AM
Oh really? We’ll take Texas A&M on the road tonight. [Oklahoman]
How this bitch still has a job is beyond me. She was the biggest fucking punching bag when whe wrote for the UDK at KU. Oh, she writes for Oklahomans? Makes sense.

Saw a screener of The Social Network last night. Incredible movie. Believe the hype, this is a serious Best Picture contender. Highly, highly recommend.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:47 AM
How does this not make the roundup? Apparently someone (probably us) launched a cyber attack on Iran.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:48 AM
I know there are a lot of skeptics and cynics here, but seriously, it’s written by Sorkin and directed by Fincher. That’s not exactly a recipe for failure.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
really? when were these guys ever going to play? that’s like the few Giants fans that were bitching about Ryan Grant a couple years ago.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
Why can’t I gamble on things like this? I called it two weeks ago.
I don’t think she currently needs to do playboy. She’ll be the lead attraction at this year’s Superbowl media day. Two years from now, maybe. But not soon.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
definitely seeing this weekend. Then again … you hated the Town. Which reminds me – today could be a good movie day post.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:49 AM
Yes it is.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
Normally at this point I would say it’s time to stop making these but MI3 was really quite good. PSH played a great villain. MI2 sucked though
September 30th, 2010 at 8:51 AM
no. Greene had fumble problems in week 1. he got injured (nothing major) in week 3. bad start for him.
ground and pound isn’t going to work with LT. holding out hope for McKnight is a mistake. Washington could play this week in STL as the No. 2 if Jackson is out (Darby could be a good FF pickup) and Woodhead already is in the mix in New England.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:52 AM
I heard a review of the Coen Brother’s remake of True Grit that comes out on Christmas Day. The guy who reviewed it said it is a shoe-in for best picture nominee along with Secretariat.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:52 AM
It wasn’t bad, but it really wasn’t that good. I’m puzzled as to why some critics/viewers saw that was so amazing.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:53 AM
I don’t think she currently needs to do playboy. She’ll be the lead attraction at this year’s Superbowl media day. Two years from now, maybe. But not soon. Dirt
Maybe. I still think she’ll be in the February issue of Playboy to coincide with the Super Bowl.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:53 AM
but when the season began, everyone thought LdT and Greene were going to be one of the best combos, just like Jones and Greene were late last year. If you are a running back in New England, you are always in the mix.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:54 AM
TBL, please tell me you’re going to have a massive post on the yahoo sports report from last night. I mean…it makes the whole Reggie Bush ordeal look like a minor secondary infraction if it’s true.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:55 AM
Social Network is a rental for me. If it’s not IMAX worthy anymore I wait for Netflix or a friend to bit torrent it. Speaking of movies, isn’t it about time we got a new James Bond movie? Preferably w/o Daniel Craig.

September 30th, 2010 at 8:56 AM

September 30th, 2010 at 8:57 AM
Not happening anytime soon…MGM is basically in bankruptcy, so no Bond films for the foreseeable future.

The chick who has already posed nude multiple times might do Playboy? Nice “get” Hefner!

Donald Glover for James Bond.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:58 AM
I think Leon Washington was a bigger Tannenbaum miscue than Woodhead. Not just because he ran back two punts this weekend but because he’s got a lot left in the tank and didn’t show any signs of slowing down as a Jet.
September 30th, 2010 at 8:58 AM
financial issues halted production of the movie. and Daniel Craig is awesome.

@tbl…I haven’t seen The Town yet…what I said was that a lot of my friends hated it. I reserve any judgment.
Obviously, the next flick I see will be Secretariat, though.

sorry brah.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:05 AM
I’m a little disappointed in Ms. Tweedy (we can call her that now, right? She kicked Ashley to the curb) this morning. Looks like she’s lost some weight in not the right spots and whoever did that hair should be fired. She’s still one of my faves but not looking her best there.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
R&B Gangsters. Nothing like the 90′s.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
who is everyone? i had RB as my No. 2 concern in the preseason (after chemistry). if you saw Hard Knocks, you know that Washington/Woodhead were better than McKnight, there was no doubt.
give me a hungry, undersized, underdog (SCRAPPY!?!?!?!?!) any day over a pampered high school legend. And of those 5, Washington as the 2nd best “tough” insider runner after Greene.
horrible job by the Jets staff, IMO
September 30th, 2010 at 9:06 AM
I don’t have any respect for a man named Ashley

September 30th, 2010 at 9:07 AM
If true…it’s the first time it was found that a college employed an agent’s runner as a football coach.
It’s a shame it’s UNC, so it’ll all get swept underneath the rug, along with the academic fraud (love how Braddour said any Honor Council punishments would be considered redshirt years…way to neuter your own institutions).
/Duke fans are enjoying this somewhat
//State fans are fucking walking on the moon
September 30th, 2010 at 9:08 AM
i think there was a money issue there too, not totally sure. but i believe they’re holding onto McKnight partially because they refuse to concede they “lost” this trade.

That’s why Duke fans are a little meh about it (more interested in UNC getting knocked down a few pegs), but State fans are having their best fall in years.
Plus there’s an outside chance that UNC will have to forfeit some basketball games due to Greg Little, so I’m always in favor of that.
Also, it’s nice to watch the local media have to actually report some of the crap that goes down at UNC for once, instead of turning a blind eye…even though WRAL and the N&O have already given UNC a platform to protest its integrity (gag).

Am I the only one who had never heard of Greg Giraldo until he OD’d? For the life of me, I can’t recall a memory of him.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:23 AM
I fail to see what is gained by proclaiming that you’ve only seen, read, heard a few seconds of something or will never watch, read, listen to something. Ever. When did being able to spout uninformed opinions become a good thing?
Watch, read, listen to whatever you have reservations about, then make snarky comments.

September 30th, 2010 at 9:25 AM
KC: I’d heard of Giraldo, but have never watched him on anything. No idea if he was any good or not
September 30th, 2010 at 9:26 AM
Well you got to be careful with that. He could have grew up quick and grew up mean and his fists could have got hard and his wits got keen because he had to get tough or die.

fair opinion to have, but the facts say otherwise.
Brad Smith – bless his heart – and his wildcat carries skew those stats.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nyj/stats
averages this year: 27-132. only 1 rushing TD through 3 games.
averages last year: 37-172. led the league in rushing. down to 9th so far this year.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:29 AM
This sounds like jealousy or fear of homophobia more than anything. JT is entertaining and talented. Just because the dude got his start in a boy band doesn’t mean that’s all he’s capable of.

the running game is still very effective. they can run when they need to, that’s what a good running game is. why have they only scored 1 rushing TD? well, because the first week they played baltimore and because they, um, gulp, seem to be able to pass for TDs now.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:32 AM
The funniest thing is every delusional UNC fan keeps on saying “UNC and the NCAA already knew about this.” Like that knowledge is going to save UNC’s ass…jebus.
Personally, I think the NCAA should just farm out its investigative service to Yahoo, they’ve done more in the past 18 months than the NCAA has done in 20 years.

as long as Slauson doesn’t get run over, Sanchez has been sickeningly effective. Two straight games I’ve been waiting for the fuckup, and it doesn’t come, or a defender drops it.

no it is, because at a minimum, the guy’s an extremely talented dancer. It’s impossible to refute that part at least. So it’s retarded so say that the guy isn’t talented.
You can say that his singing is all computer enhanced, fine.
And he’s been pretty good in the one or two movies I saw him in, and actually quite funny on SNL, and seemingly really self aware.

September 30th, 2010 at 9:50 AM
“Publicly they’ll claim to be virgins but privately… he hit it.”
Awesome.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:50 AM
Part of the reason is the front and center approach. ESPN wants to pimp their coverage of live sporting events. Outside the Lines is every bit as good as Yahoo, but they don’t get the screen time/website billing. Perception of ESPN as being in bed with every major sports team doesn’t really help matters either.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:51 AM
lol. Simmons calls Preston from the Real World “Rajon Rondo”
September 30th, 2010 at 9:51 AM
That was a poor decision on the part of Mr Kovalev. It was nice to see Beauch show him a little mercy.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
Damn, Saints are 13.5 point faves over Carolina. That seems like a ton.
seems ok, if you believe carolina sucks ass and than anger is a positive football motivator. lisk, can we get some stats on how often anger works?
September 30th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
Black Snake Moan great movie
September 30th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
Sanders since you have they eye for young minor league prospects, would this have been considered a bust when you scouted her back in 94′
September 30th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
September 30th, 2010 at 9:52 AM
Does A&M still blow on defense? They could give up 70 tonight
September 30th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
Ben Foster. Really good actor, doesn’t get many great projects.
not a fan.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
Charles Robinson is awesome.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:53 AM
Great fight from last night. Mr. Carrie Underwood wanted to fight but the refs held him back. Instead, Alexei Kovalev got his fucking ass kicked.
If I was Beauchemin I wouldn’t have fought Kovalev – what’s to gain from beating up a skill player with 4 career fights?
September 30th, 2010 at 9:54 AM
Garland… I’m still very interested in acquiring one Duncan Keith from you. I know you want Kaberle. I know it. Now, just let me know how we can make a blockbuster happen because you hate Ovechkin.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:54 AM
Cowher to Carolina worries me, not as the Panthers being my second favorite team, but in that I heard that he is going ask Mark Whipple to be is OC.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:54 AM
Sucks about Giraldo. He was kind of a one-trick pony (CC roasts), but he was pretty good at that one trick.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:55 AM
As could Ok St. It should be a really fun game.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:55 AM
I’m sure there will be retribution some time this season when the Sens and Leafs get together again. Not sure who the Leafs employ as a goon but I have a feeling he’s got his assignment for that game.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:56 AM
i will lose all faith with the academy if that movie is nominated. it’s a movie about a fucking horse and the rich southern owners.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Comedians love drugs.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Nah, always thought she was too pale. Big boobs, but gravity was taking its toll on them even back in her Crazy/Beautiful days.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
A&M’s defense has been a lot better, though they haven’t played anybody at all. They will be seriously tested tonight and then next week vs. Arkansas.
I do like DeRuyter though. He was a great hire.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
That seems like a recipe for disaster right there. I also thought Foster was really good in Yuma. He was a bit over the top in that Bruce Willis home invasion movie, but then again that movie sucked walrus.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:57 AM
Where do I donate to help make this happen?
September 30th, 2010 at 9:58 AM
Not sure who the Leafs employ as a goon but I have a feeling he’s got his assignment for that game.
Colton Orr. The Sens employ his usual speed bag (Carkner) Garland was right though, it was good of Beauchemin to let up.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:58 AM
Speaking of, this slayed me:
September 30th, 2010 at 9:58 AM
Thats why they love the fedex driver. Because they are drug dealers and they don’t even know it.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
Doug Stanhope was on a local morning show this morning talking about this. He said Mitch Hedberg’s parents now have a golf outing in his honor to raise money for anti-drug programs. Doug joked about the irony that there nothing Mitch hated more than sports and nothing he loved more than drugs.
September 30th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
we getting a post on Street League Skateboarding?
September 30th, 2010 at 9:59 AM
If I were a bandwagon superstar like you, I would probably claim the Blackhawks as my ‘other’ team due to my totally hetero man love for Keith, Seabrook, Toews and Bolland. No plans on moving Keith.
As for Ovie, I hate him but you offered me Kovalchuk? That’s like offering to cure me of Hep B in exchange for me taking on full blown AIDS.

@bsanders: i died laughing when i read that, too, can’t remember where it’s from though.
i’m sure hellen mirren and cate blanchette will be in the QEII movie and hillary swank will be anne frank.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
The Social Network might be the best reviewed movie ever.
Case in point.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
That’s great, saw Hedberg just a few months before he died and you could tell he was blitzed out of his gourd…that one bummed me out, loved his stuff
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
I could never look past her tiny, baby-sized teeth.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
Giraldo was funny on the Hoff roast–geez, death all around.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:01 AM
Quiet you! I have no clue the validity of the Giant rumors, but Cowher’s NC roots are pretty deep and the Panthers are letting John Fox’s contract run out. 2+2.

Wow, just awesome. Who’s that from?
September 30th, 2010 at 10:02 AM
the Hogs got this week off too, they are going to come out pissed next week against the faggies.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:02 AM
Sanders, as I’m sure you scouted this chick back in the day, are you a little disappointed that she hasn’t been in more movies/shows?
September 30th, 2010 at 10:03 AM
I somewhat agree but as I said, at least Beauch let up on him once the point was made that Kovalev shouldn’t make that kind of challenge in the future.
This will likely end up in another beating for Carkner at the hands of Orr. They fought four times last year and Orr had a pretty decisive 3-1 record against him. It’s worth taking a look at on Youtube.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:03 AM
He was a bit over the top in that Bruce Willis home invasion movie, but then again that movie sucked walrus.
he has seemingly never been able to shake that crazy tweaker look he cultivated for that part, either. But I agree that movie was not good.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:03 AM
Never saw it before, but that Timberlake immigrant sketch is awesome.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:05 AM

I’ll put together something with Zetterberg. I’m going to need a half-way decent center in return though because stupid auto-draft picked up Marc Savard’s foggy brain for me.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:05 AM
he did own the punisher though.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:06 AM

JT has been great in SNL (Dick in a box, Barry Gibb talk show, Dancing Egg, etc.) and he is great for being in Jessica Biel.

I’m more interested in the fact that’s its on AMC which is on a roll. Rubicon just keeps getting better, btw. Not that anyone here is watching.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:07 AM
I agree. That scene in Alpha Dog when he goes into the party and just cleans up the room is great stuff. Not that it was great acting, just a great scene….
September 30th, 2010 at 10:07 AM
i’m worried that my own expectations will not be met, i’ve been waiting for this show since i heard AMC picked it up.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:07 AM
Hmm…don’t recognize her.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:07 AM

I like the Mother Lover song with Samberg too.

SC – looking at your roster I’m not sure that there is anything you can offer of value (specifically RW) for Hossa.

Dr. Tom, I agree with the AMC comment. Their original series are extremely well done. Hoping WD follows suit

Anyone looking forward to The Walking Dead needs to check this out if you haven’t already.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:12 AM
You should just give him to me. I mean, he’s my team mascot.
I hate my team. Dany Heatley asleep at the wheel and Kovalchuk not knowing what defense is. Awesome. Spezza better rebound or I’m going all Miracle on my team and making them skate sprints for 4 hours with no breaks.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:12 AM

September 30th, 2010 at 10:14 AM
Same. One of the few times I didn’t mind Fallon laughing or making someone else laugh during a sketch. The other being the Debbie Downer one with Lohan.

Heatley is going to rip it up this year. Spezza’s problem is the style Clouston likes to play and the fact there is a lack of skill players in the organization.

The Will Ferrell one with the mini cell phone where he says, “Pack your bags, we’re going to Milan” is another one I don’t mind the whole cast just losing it and busting out laughing.
It was in poor taste, but I wouldn’t say it was a ‘bad’ joke.

I’m still bitter about the Hjalmarsson offer sheet and Nemo swimming with the Sharks. Dougie Wilson can go fuck a knife.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:22 AM
TSH. Spezza needs to go somewhere that will let him do what he does well and not absolutely kill him for his shortcomings. Not that it would ever happen but he would be great in Washington. Boudreau would just open the door and say ‘put the puck in the net’ and not worry about him not being the second coming of Guy Carbonneau.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:24 AM
Pretty sure that this game is at 11…
September 30th, 2010 at 10:24 AM
I thought they moved it to 8 and made it the gameday spotlight?
September 30th, 2010 at 10:25 AM
Not that it would ever happen but he would be great in Washington. Boudreau would just open the door and say ‘put the puck in the net’ and not worry about him not being the second coming of Guy Carbonneau.
In land of make believe I would love to see Spezza on the Caps. Say for Semin, Alzner and picks.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:25 AM
ESPN/ABC moved it up to 8.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:26 AM
And, I am wrong. Did this get changed, because I was almost sure that I heard this was a late night (EST) game last weekend.

it’s so cute when you skirt around the truth.
/are Stanford and Oregon playing at a neutral site in Virginia?
September 30th, 2010 at 10:30 AM
I love Gameday when they do it from the West Coast. It is so crazy to see kids up that early in the morning getting pumped. There is definitely a quick power nap, maybe some pre sunlight coitus/snuggling, and then raging drinking for a 5 oclock game, and then, if the hoem team wins, pande fucking monium. God really does love the West the best.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:31 AM
disregard this. I’m a dumbass and will now be leaving the thread.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:32 AM
Not only that, but I may try to not even watch the game Saturday night. ND is BC’s bitch for some reason.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:32 AM
It’s cool, we all have brainfarts. I’m not only a client, I’m the brainfart president.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:32 AM
Jersey/Gods:
Somehow, I went on a twitter link fest last night and saw that some kid named DeVaris Daniels signed w/ ND (WR from Illinois). His Dad is Philip Daniels from the Redskins and went to UGA. All these guys were asking him about JoeJaw and he said they didn’t offer the kid.
He had narrowed to ND/Oklahoma & Miami
September 30th, 2010 at 10:33 AM
Ha! That’s why I can’t hate on you Jersey, even though you are a ND/Jets fan.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:36 AM
Coitus is term used not nearly enough
September 30th, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Apparently JT and Fallon did the “history of rap” last night on Late Night. Heard the clip on the radio this morning, and it was actually pretty good. The Roots were killin’ it.
Can’t find link yet.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Isn’t UGA a little stacked at WR in about every class? I could see them not offering him. But hey, I’m not complaining.
September 30th, 2010 at 10:51 AM
The only reason to watch The War at Home, and her kiss with Bilson on HIMYM was epic.
