Because it’s used in ways that don’t make sense. WAG, if I recall, stands for Wives and Girlfriends. When you say “Tiger showed up at the Ryder Cup without a WAG”, it doesn’t make any sense.

Seems like the quality has trailed off as they’ve gone along though. The last 3 or 4 haven’t been as good as when they started… or so I hear. The last one I saw was the Tupac one and I didn’t like it. The Jordan one, neither.
