I’d put my money on Keiland Williams being the big winner in Washington. Shanahan likes bringing running backs from out of nowhere to star in this league and Williams proved he’s able to pass protect and catch passes out of the backfield.

Laurence Maroney got the carries with Knowshown Moreno out, and it looks like he is ahead of Correll Buckhalter.

I couldn’t figure out why. Even Colts defenders were stoning Maroney, and that doesn’t happen too frequently.

Ryan Torain got some carries in place of Portis in the last game, and with the release of Larry Johnson, is just a coach’s decision or injury away from stepping in.

Shanny loves him some Ryan Torain. Unfortunately, it’s just a matter of time before Torain falls victim to his annual injury.

The Colts are about the only team where a player can go from practice squad to fantasy relevance in a week. Blair White stepped in as the third receiver with Garcon and Gonzalez out, and got a touchdown.

Garcon supposedly worked out Monday and appears to be a decent bet to play this week. Might not be a bad idea for the Colts to sit him out another week, though. If that guy’s not 100 percent and can’t burn deep routes he’s useless as a receiver. Still an underrated blocker downfield, though.

Doubt we see Anthony Gonzalez back until after the bye. White should be able to remain on the active roster for another month, then, provided no other major injury occurs and they need a body.
